Coalition felicitates Tinubu on 3rd Year Anniversary, praises bold reforms

The Coalition for Tinubu-Okpebholo-Nigeria has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the third anniversary of his assumption of office as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, describing his tenure as a period of bold, consequential, and people-centred leadership that has produced visible dividends in Edo State and across the nation.

In a statement issued on Friday to mark the anniversary, the Coalition said President Tinubu came to office at a moment of profound national challenge, and had made the difficult but necessary decisions that are gradually reshaping Nigeria's economic and institutional foundations.

“Three years ago, Nigerians made a historic choice by placing the destiny of Africa's most populous nation in the hands of a man whose entire political life had been a preparation for this moment,” the statement read. “They are built through bold decisions made at painful moments, by leaders willing to absorb the heat of necessary reforms so that the generation to come might enjoy their fruits. Your Renewed Hope Agenda has done precisely this."

The Coalition stressed on some of the specific impact of President Tinubu's policies on Edo State, noting that Governor Monday Okpebholo has consistently credited the enabling environment created by the Federal Government as the foundation upon which the state's ongoing transformation is being built.

According to the statement, the Federal Government's revenue reforms have made it possible for Edo State to pursue its historic ₦939.85 billion Budget of Hope and Growth for 2026 under which the state is shining.

The Coalition further praised the federal reliefs and projects ongoing in Edo state, declaring that: “These are not small things; they are the accumulated proof that in Abuja, there is a president who sees Edo and who governs for all Nigerians.”

The Coalition reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the President ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that Governor Okpebholo has pledged to deliver 2.5 million votes from Edo State for President Tinubu.

The statement described this milestone as achievable given the fruits of the federal-state partnership already visible across all three senatorial districts of Edo.

“On this third anniversary, we celebrate not just the years completed, but the course charted, the sacrifices borne, and the momentum building,” the statement concluded. “The foundation is being laid. The greater Nigeria you promised is coming. Happy 3rd Anniversary, Mr. President. Edo is with you. Nigeria is watching. History will remember.”

*Oladele Bankole-Balogun Celebrates Children’s Day, Pledges to Build a Brighter Future for Akoko-Edo’s Youth*

As Nigeria marks Children’s Day 2026, the All Progressives Congress [APC] candidate for Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency, Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun, has sent warm felicitations to children nationwide, with a special message for the young people of Akoko-Edo.

In his goodwill message, Bankole-Balogun described children as “the foundation of the greater future we all seek,” stressing that the dreams, talents, and aspirations of today’s children will shape the destiny of the constituency and the nation.

“Every child carries within them the seed of greatness. Our duty as leaders, parents, and community members is to nurture that seed with quality education, moral guidance, and opportunities to thrive,” he said.

The APC candidate reaffirmed his commitment to champion policies and initiatives that will improve access to quality education, strengthen youth development programs, and create a safe , enabling environment where children can grow into responsible, innovative, and patriotic citizens.

Bankole-Balogun also called on parents, teachers, and community leaders to work together to instill values of discipline, hard work, and empathy in the younger generation. “A society that invests in its children invests in its own survival and progress,” he noted.
