🚨 BREAKING: Four House of Reps Members Defect from PDP & LP to APC 🚨
In a major political shake-up, four federal lawmakers have officially dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors are:
- Inuwa Garuba (PDP, Yamaltu/Deba, Gombe State)
- Abdullahi El-Rasheed (PDP, Dukku/Nafada, Gombe State)
- Mohammed Audu (PDP, Karim Lamido/Lau/Ardo-Kola, Taraba State)
- Obika Chinedu (LP, Abuja Municipal/Bwari, FCT)
Their letters of defection were read out by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during Wednesday’s plenary session.
The lawmakers cited internal crises in their former parties — especially the deep factional crisis rocking the PDP — as the main reason for crossing over.
This brings the number of recent defections to APC even higher as the ruling party continues to strengthen its numbers in the National Assembly.
Is this a sign of more defections coming, or just normal political realignment? Drop your thoughts in the comments 👇
