✍️Chapter 7✍️

"Lamba, are you sh****ng me? This is my fu***ng daughter we are talking about here. I love her dearly and I've sent guards to search for her." He said trying to sound calm. "Lamba, I swear by my father's grave, I have nothing to do with the escape of the princess. Just give me some time."
"Time, you say. I'll think about that. But we are adding more conditions to the contract."
"Conditions like me and Your Queen meeting on a freaky Friday, you know just spending time together getting to know each other."
Antonio froze, which was the exact reaction Lamba wanted.
"Not my wife Lamba, you can have any other lady from this kingdom, but not my wife."
"I've given my word, my dear friend. It's for you to think about it and decide to agree or not. Though I'm quite sure you know the consequences if you disagree." He grinned evilly.
"Lamba, but wh...."
"Antonio, I'll be on my way now. I've got a meeting in some minutes time. Don't forget to think well before making your decision and do send my regards to your pretty queen." With that he stood up and left the astonished King Antonio there.

"
He groaned when he got back to his room.
He was getting frustrated.
He took his box of gold wristwatches and threw them across the room. He knew he'd regret them later. But, right now he was in too much agony to care about anything.
He missed his daughter.
They argued a lot and that was why he loved her. It showed she was truly his daughter because he also never agreed to something without going down with a fight or argument.
She was going to be a great queen. She wasn't partial, always spoke her mind out, never afraid of anyone. Or better put, she never allowed anyone to read her fear.
He wondered how well she was coping. He still didn't get why she ran away. If she didn't want the prince, she should have come out clean. Well, who was he deceiving? He'd have still forced her.
What was he going to do?
Lamba was ahead of him in thinking. How could he request for his wife? She was all that he had left now that the princess had left.
He had to do something. He just had to. How was he going to tell Cora he couldn't say no to Lamba's request. She was really going to flare up
"Flynn, get me a bottle of vodka." He needed to clear his head first before thinking.
*
*
"No!! He wouldn't dare."
"But, Your Highness, it's all over that the great King Lamba has requested a day with you."
"How could he? That son of a bitch. I'm never spending a night with him. How dare he make that request?"
"Your Highness, please calm down. Walls have ears, it wouldn't help matters if the great King Lamba finds out that you called him names."
"I literally don't care. I feel so empty without my daughter."
"Your Highness, I know how it feels and I totally understand you."
Lydia had lost her daughter some years back during a ferocious war. She felt a tear slip through her eye lids remembering how her daughter and some other people were burnt like animals in a tent they hid.
"Oh my God, Lydia I'm so sorry I mentioned that. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
"No, it's fine. Anyways let's get you set for the day." She said trying to light the moment up. She was a very nice and understanding person. With that, she captured the Queen's attention and was made her personal maid.
As she got dressed, she asked. "So what did the king say regarding the matter."
"Your Highness, I have no idea. As you are well aware, I wasn't in there during the meeting. But I heard, he said he'll think about it."
The Queen stood up.
"Think about it? He was supposed to tell him no immediately. I hope it's not what I'm thinking."
She stomped out of the room immediately heading towards the king's chamber. She didn't even remember to put her crown on and as she walked through the hallway, everyone could feel the anger radiating from her.
How dare he!! She couldn't bear the betrayal. It meant he could sleep around too. She walked faster, the anger controlling her. How dare he?
"Antonio." She started immediately she entered the room, but the sight before her shut her up. What the hell is going on??????

✍️Chapter 2✍️

"I have an important message for His Majesty." A guard gushed out informing the older guards guiding the entrance to the throne room.
"His Majesty is in a meeting at the moment." The most superior guard whose name was Flynn, replied without sparing him a glance.
"But it is urgent."
"How urgent could it be?"
"It's about the princess." The guard said shaking.
"What's wrong with her?" The older guard asked nonchalantly assuming the princess was stunting some of her tricks again.
"She's not in her room and we've searched everywhere. I'm afraid she's not in the castle." He said falling on his knees because he couldn't stand any longer.
Flynn looked at the guard trying to study him before he went into the throne room.
He whispered into the king's ear and left.
"Well I guess it's time the meeting ends." The king said to the people and dispersed them.

"Flynn!!!" The king called and hit his fist on the armrest.
He entered immediately and answered "Your Majesty." then bowed.
"Repeat what you whispered in my ears earlier, the queen would love to hear." He said and smiled wickedly. He does that when he's angry.
"Your Majesty, Your Highness, I just got informed that the princess is missing." He said without exhibiting any form of fear. Death was the least of his fears.
"I knew it. I told you she wasn't ready fo this marriage. I warned you, you wouldn't listen. See you chased her away. My baby, my princess." The queen said, babbling as she cried, leaving for her chamber.
"I want the heads of the guards that were by her door yester night." The king said and stood from his seat. "And also those that were by the gate. I don't want loose guards. This shows that if the enemies had attacked last night, no one would have known." He completed angrily. What was he going to tell the prince she was supposed to get married to?

✍️Synopsis✍️
By: Deborah Itohan
It was late at night, probably mid night. The very perfect time for the enemies to attack if the guards were not fully active.
He watched the city through his binoculars and smiled.
One day, just one very perfect day, he'd get what he wanted.
He was about returning back when something caught his attention, someone to be precise.
She was running, she looked small and frail. Maybe because she was far away.
She seemed to run with determination because she didn't stop to catch her breath.
She'd be very useful for him.
Her name was Lily.
She had done something very dreadful at home and had to run before she was caught.
She was to be wedded the next day, to a man she hated ever since she set her eyes on him.
What will happen when this stranger holds her captive and her supposed husband comes to fight for her?
