Although this is a recurring event, it is the first of its kind in the year 2026. took place on the 28th of March, and it was truly a joyful and exciting experience to see young minds with smiling faces receiving their share of food.

International Women’s Day 2026

Today we celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of women across the world. Women are builders of families, pillars of communities, and agents of transformation in society.

On this special day, we honour the countless women whose sacrifices, leadership, faith, and determination continue to shape a better future for all. May we keep promoting dignity, justice, opportunity, and empowerment for every woman and girl.

As we, ADVANCE Initiative reflect on how far we have come, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God, who continues to strengthen and sustain this organization. With great joy, we successfully held the 25th Set Computer Graduation Ceremony at the ADVANCE Skills Acquisition Center, Ogugu, on 15th December 2025.

The climax of our food share program was a birthday thanksgiving by one of our widow who is grateful for another year added to her years and how God has kept her for years without her husband. It was such a nostalgic and yet an amazing moment for everyone present.

Cake was made by her daughter who is still in training to be a baker! 🥰

To the brave individuals living with HIV, who dared to share their experiences, we honour your courage. Your voices bring life to statistics and give meaning to advocacy. We remain committed to standing with you against stigma and discrimination.

ADVANCE joins the international community to celebrate the World AIDS Day. As we engaged within our community it was established that Disruption is a sudden interruption that breaks the normal flow of the daily life. However, in the midst of life’s disruption, God’s hand is present to help. God is not distant in moments of health crisis for he knows the end of a thing from its beginning and He is capable of restoring dignity and wholeness in times of disruption.

Disruption is not an end to life; we can through Faith, Knowledge, Prayer and Compassionate action.
As an individual, a caregiver, and a community at large we must understand the importance of hope and how to restore hope by breaking the stigmas, promoting truth and health and building partners who must shine as light to all.

We urge everyone to carry the message of awareness, compassion and action—because together, we can build a future where HIV is no longer a threat.
