Your support and commitment to skill acquisition, technical education, and youth empowerment have greatly inspired our members who participated in various construction trades including carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, electrical installation, iron bending, welding, tiling, and other artisan categories.

Builder Dr. Idris Abubakar Sadiq, FNIOB, the 1st Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Building, led a delegation from the Zamfara State Chapter of the Artisans and Craftsmen Empowerment Association (ACEMA) on a collaboration and 2026 Construction Artisans Award (CAA) sensitization visit to the Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Prof. Nasir Garba Anka.

During the visit, the state artisans’ association expressed its desire to support the Chairman’s efforts toward ensuring quality workmanship in the ex*****on of building construction projects under the Board. Prof. Nasir Garba Anka welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the association ahead of the 2026 CAA competition.

He further encouraged the artisans to work diligently to bring glory to Zamfara State, thereby complementing the developmental projects being executed by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State.

NIOB FIRST VICE PRESIDENT SENSITIZES ZAMFARA ARTISANS ON CAA 2026

The North West Coordinator of the Construction Artisans Awards (CAA) and First Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Builder Idris Sadiq Abubakar, alongside the Zamfara State CAA Coordinator and Chairman of NIOB, Builder Garba Sani, have held a sensitisation meeting with members of the Artisans and Craftsmen Empowerment Association (ACEMA) in Zamfara State.

The meeting, which also had in attendance executives of NIOB Zamfara State, was aimed at enlightening artisans and encouraging them to participate in the 6th Construction Artisans Awards (CAA 2026) scheduled for January 2026, with the theme “Building a Skilled Nation: Quality, Consistency, and Growth.”

Participants were briefed on the benefits of the programme, including national recognition, skills certification, job and business opportunities, mentorship and career advancement, as artisans in various construction trades were urged to register and take advantage of the platform.

In their separate remarks, the Zamfara State Chairman of ACEMA, Tukur Rabi’u Abdullahi, and the State Secretary, Bashar Sani Maifanfo, assured the association’s commitment to fully mobilise artisans across the 14 local government areas of Zamfara State to register and actively participate in the competition.

Obituary!

It's with a heavy heart that we express our deepest grief over the demise of His Royal Highness The Emir of Gusau, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau Dr. Ibrahim Bello OFR.

On behalf of ACEMA national body under the Chairmanship of Abdullahi Endomos and its Zamfara State Chairman Tukur Rabiu Abdullahi, we convey our condolence to the Zamfara State government, Gusau Emirate council, family of the late Emir and the entire people of Gusau and Zamfara State in general.

May the Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest in Jannatul-Firdaus, Amen.
