HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE
On this important occasion of Democracy Day, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating the strength, resilience, and progress of our democracy.
I dedicate this Democracy Day to the good people of my constituency, Yamaltu Deba Federal Constituency.
I sincerely appreciate your support, prayers, and trust. I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve you over the past three years, and I thank you for giving me another opportunity to continue serving our people.
I sincerely commend the efforts of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for their commitment to governance, development, and the Renewed Hope Agenda, which continues to inspire progress across the country.
I also sincerely appreciate the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the confidence reposed in me and for giving me the platform and another opportunity to serve my constituency.
I remain committed to carrying out my responsibilities with accountability, dedication, and transparency, while acknowledging both the successes achieved and areas that require improvement.
This day reminds us of the power of the people, the importance of unity, and our shared responsibility in building a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive nation.
I call on all my constituents to come together and work in unity for the progress, peace, and development of our beloved Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to bless our dear nation, Nigeria, grant our leaders wisdom and courage, protect our country from all challenges, and strengthen the bonds of unity among our people.

, Investigation into Oil Exploration Activities in Gombe State and Bauchi
I moved a motion on the urgent need to investigate the oil exploration activities in Gombe and Bauchi States within the North East political zone
Investigation into Oil Exploration Activities in Gombe and Bauchi States
The Kolmani oil field project commenced in 2016, leading to the discovery of approximately 1 billion barrels of crude oil.
This significant discovery prompted the establishment of the Kolmani Interested Development Project by former President Buhari in collaboration with the current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in November 2022.
Current Situation and Concerns
Despite the initial promise and potential of the oil exploration activities, there have been growing concerns about the declining progress and participation of companies in the region.
Companies are reportedly pulling out of the area even after receiving payments from taxpayers’ money.
This alarming trend has raised suspicions and calls for a thorough investigation into why the exercise is regressing day by day.
House Committee Investigation
In response to these pressing issues, in my prayers I urged the house to mandate mandated a committee to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the oil exploration activities in Gombe and Bauchi States.
And The committee has been tasked with reporting back to the house within four weeks with their findings and recommendations on how to address the challenges facing this crucial sector.
