In Luke 2: 25 and 38, it mentioned two people that Jesus met at the temple when he was brought on the eight day after his birth; Simeon and Prophetess Anna. Simeon was a man waiting for the CONSOLATION of Israel and Anna was the woman who soke to the people waiting for the REDEMPTION of Israel about Jesus who was born.

This means Israel was under torment and needed consolation and redemption and they have been told that their redemption and consolation will come when Jesus comes. The word consolation shares the root meaning with the word comfort.

There is no true comfort or consolation outside Jesus. The day he is born in your heart is the day your comfort begins. Simeon said they have been waiting for the consolation of Israel. Waiting ends when Jesus comes. 38years of waiting ended when Jesus came.

Are you waiting to be consoled, comforted or Redeemed? You want a problem to come to an end and you are believing God for a final solution to that problem, Jesus is born for you today. Accept him this day.
