Last week in my ALX Virtual Assistant training was a true game-changer.
We learned how to create a strong professional presence, and I came away with skills that genuinely boosted my confidence.

First, we tackled cover letters and resumes. I learned how to go beyond listing skills to really showcase what makes me unique,crafting cover letters and resumes that reflect who I am and what I offer. This session really opened my eyes to how much impact a well-written introduction can have.

Then we moved on to LinkedIn. I knew LinkedIn was important, but I didn’t fully realize its potential until now. We learned how to build a profile that doesn’t just sit there but actually works for us, drawing the attention of the right people and building credibility. This session helped me see LinkedIn as a tool to connect authentically, not just a place to display my job history.

Finally, we focused on networking, and this was probably the most eye-opening. Networking isn’t about collecting contacts; it’s about building meaningful connections. I learned practical, real-life strategies to reach out and stay connected in ways that feel natural and genuine. It made me realize that being myself and adding value to others is really what matters.

Week 6 left me feeling more prepared and motivated than ever. I’m excited to keep building on these skills and see where they take me on this journey!
