TOPIC: THE FULLNESS OF TIME

TEXT: Acts 9:1-6; Gal 1:13-17

Apostle Paul narrated his former ways of life in Judaism to the Galatian believers; how he persecuted the church and got a letter of permission from the high priest in Jerusalem to Damascus to persecute the believers there, but the Lord met him on the way.

Paul said, in vs 15, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace.”

The phrase “But when it pleased God” is what I call, “The fullness of time.”

LESSONS FROM OUR TEXT
1. There is no crime, sin or wickedness that God cannot forgive when one accepts Christ as one’s Lord and saviour.

2. Some of those who are persecuting the church or Christians are sincerely wrong.

3. A believer can serve God with the same zeal he used in serving the devil as an unbeliever. (Paul is a good example).

4. When you are born again, you should serve God with zeal more than the unbelievers who are persecuting you.

5. Vs 15, clearly shows that there is Predestination. That is, God has pre-determined certain things ahead of time to take place in a person’s life. (Rom 9:10-16).

6. God predestined people for good, and not for evil. (Jer 29:11; Jas 1:17).

7. God has not predestined anyone for hell fire. (1Tim 2:4).

8. The devil can, through conscious and unconscious covenants/curses change someone’s positive destiny to a negative one (2 Cor 6:14-17, Exodus 34:13-16).

9. Everyone has the right to exercise his/her will power. We’ve got the capacity for change and to re-order our lives to suit God’s design (Mark 9:23).

10. There is always a set time for whatever God has willed for our lives.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN THE FULLNESS OF TIME COMES
1. Dissatisfaction with what is happening around you. When you are dissatisfied with everything happening around you, naturally, you’ll start thinking about how to change the situations. This dissatisfaction is an indicato

TOPIC: CASTING OUT DEMONS BY BEELZEBUB.

TEXT: Matt 12:22-30.

The man that was brought to the Lord Jesus had three problems;
* He was demon possessed.
* He was blind.
* He was dumb.

- The Jews believed that only the Messiah could heal someone born deaf, dumb and blind, therefore when the multitudes saw this happen, they reasoned and questioned one another whether Jesus could be the son of David, the Messiah.

- The Pharisees, who were experts in the law of Moses told them that Jesus cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub, the ruler of demons. In response, Jesus said to them that satan can’t cast out satan because his kingdom is not divided. Satan is the head of the kingdom of darkness, and the Prince of this world, (Jn14:30; Eph 2:2), therefore, he can’t cast himself out. (Vs 26).
* Every sickness/disease caused by a demon can’t be cured by medication, but by casting out the demons behind the sickness.(Mk 9:17-27).

- The question the Lord asked in Vs 27, “And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges,” reveals the following truths;
* Beelzebub is one of the princes of satan in the quadruple hierarchy of the organisation of the kingdom of darkness.
* “By whom do your sons cast them out,” implies that some satanic human agents have power to cast out demons.
* The Lord made it clear that He can’t coexist with satan who He created and cast out of heaven.
* Jesus cast out demons by the Spirit of God - the power of the Holy Spirit.
* The healing and deliverance of the man was a testimony that Jesus was the Messiah, and the Prophet that Moses said God would send to them after him.
* Vs 29, the Lord Jesus is the stronger man, the seed of the woman who will crush the head of the Serpent. (Gen 3:15).

- Don’t be confused by what the Lord said in Vs 25&26; “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation…..If satan casts out

TOPIC: HOW TO TAP THE ANOINTING.

TEXT: Lk 4:23-27; Jn 7:37-39.

In Jn 7:37-39, the Lord Jesus spoke metaphorically about the Holy Spirit as “Rivers of Living Water” in the heart of those who will believe in Him. Naturally, the rivers have boundaries, but when they overflow, they will water the dry areas around their banks.

The Holy Spirit, unlike the natural rivers, has no boundaries and limits. The power of the Holy Spirit can invade every dry area and boundary when it moves.
* Operationally, I use the verb tapping to refer to one’s ability to draw the flow of the power of the Holy Spirit from within oneself and from other vessels - (People who are manifesting the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a greater measure).
* The Holy Spirit can be likened to a jar of oil and the believers like the various vessels it fills (2Kgs 4:1-7).

SIX WAYS OF TAPPING/DRAWING THE ANOINTING WITHIN AND WITHOUT.
1. By Knowledge. Eph 4:11-14. Know your calling and discover the anointing attached to it. (1 Cor 12:7,11). When you stand in your divinely ordained office and minister, you can confidently draw from the anointing associated with it. There are specific gifts the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers carry that can flow through them to those they are ministering to. (Eph 4:11). These 5fold ministry gifts to the church are listed in the order each one of them started in the church, and not in their order of importance.

2. By faith. Matt 14:35-36; Mk 5:25-34. It is not enough to know where the anointing is flowing, you must believe that if you make contact with the person who is carrying the anointing, the power will flow from him to you. Faith is the channel through which the oil flows into your body.

3. By activating the gifts you have received. 1Tim 4:14; 2Tim 1:6; Jude 1:20. You can build your faith for miracles by praying in tongues and listening to the Holy Spirit in silence
