The Email Duke
29/04/2024
Its not a secret…
Yet so many people get it wrong.
When you are writing your emails, you are not delivering a keynote speech…
Neither are you making a presentation to Grant Cardone’s 10X crowd.
You are writing to one person. Your ideal client.
So bear this in mind while putting together your emails and newsletters.
A good exercise to do is to picture your ideal client sitting across the table with you in a restaurant…
And tell him what you want to write in the email, like you were talking to a friend.
This is one thing you should never forget…
You are writing to just one person.
Tattoo that on your mind.

One strategy that will help you write great emails is to start with the end in mind.
What do you want your reader to do after reading your email?
Then use that as a compass to pass your message.
Here are a few questions that will help you put together a killer email.
1. What message do I want to pass across?
2. What false beliefs do I want to help my readers change?
3. What is the best way to pass this message? A personal story? A case study? Lead with a news story?
4. How will I tie my story with my offer?
5. What will I ask my readers to do at the end?
6. How can I get them to act immediately.
Save these questions for when you'll write your next copy. (Or share to your copywriter)
