RENT RELIEF: The Lagos State Government says it plans to introduce monthly and quarterly rent payment options to reduce the financial pressure of yearly rent payments on residents, especially low-income earners.

According to Housing Commissioner Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, the proposal is part of wider efforts to improve housing affordability and accessibility. The state said discussions with landlords, developers and other stakeholders are ongoing, while a pilot phase is expected to begin in selected areas.
