Brokenness is the deliberate state of total surrender to God, humility and self-awareness that allows an individual to connect more deeply with God . It is a condition that draws divine attention and fosters a greater understanding of oneself and the divine. Brokenness makes one to be less self-reliant and more dependent on God.

Understanding Spiritual Brokenness
Spiritual brokenness is not about being damaged or defeated, but rather about recognizing one's dependence on a higher power and acknowledging personal limitations . This state involves a surrender of pride and self-sufficiency, opening the heart to divine intervention and guidance .

The Role of Brokenness in Spiritual Growth
This spiritual condition is seen as a catalyst for personal growth and a deeper relationship with God . By embracing brokenness, individuals can gain profound insights into their own nature and the nature of the divine, leading to increased spiritual understanding and transformation

Through the word of God
Through trials
Through conviction and repentance
Through continual yielding to the discipline of the Spirit
