FIRE SAFETY ADVISORY FOR EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION
As part of efforts to ensure a safe and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the State Controller, Federal Fire Service, Jigawa State Command, DCF GARZALI ADO AHMAD has urged residents across the state to strictly adhere to fire safety measures throughout the festive period.
The State Controller also called on members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any fire outbreak or related emergency through the Federal Fire Service emergency line: 0906 070 4777 or 0904 941 3224.
He emphasized the importance of public cooperation in preventing fire incidents and ensuring the safety of lives and property during the Sallah celebration.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, JIGAWA STATE COMMAND HOLDS FIRE SAFETY LECTURE FOR NYSC (NEMA) CDS GROUP
The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Jigawa State Command, today delivered a comprehensive basic fire safety lecture to members of the NYSC (NEMA) CDS group during their visit to the Command.
The lecture provided the corps members with essential knowledge on fire prevention measures, emergency response techniques, proper operation of fire extinguishers, and the importance of maintaining a safe environment. Participants were also enlightened on common causes of fire outbreaks, safe evacuation procedures during emergencies, and the proper use of firefighting equipment.
The engagement formed part of the Command’s continuous public awareness and community sensitisation efforts aimed at promoting fire safety consciousness among young Nigerians and empowering them to serve as advocates for fire prevention within their places of primary assignment and host communities.
The Federal Fire Service reiterates its commitment to safeguarding lives and property through proactive public education, sensitisation, and community engagement.

FFS Jigawa State command Conducts Comprehensive Safety Inspection at China Communication Construction Company (CCCC) Fanisau, Dutse.
The Federal Fire Service, Jigawa State Command, on 4th May 2026 conducted a comprehensive fire safety inspection at CCCC Fanisau Dutse, Jigawa State.
The exercise is part of the Service’s ongoing commitment to ensuring strict compliance with fire safety standards and the protection of lives and critical national assets. The inspection focused on evaluating fire prevention measures, firefighting equipment, emergency preparedness, and overall safety compliance within the facility.
The team was led by CSF Bashir Abubakar, Head of Inspectorate, Investigation and Enforcement (IIE), reiterates Federal Fire Service commitment to promoting fire safety awareness and enforcing compliance across all public and private institutions within the state.

FFS Jigawa State Command Delivers Engaging Fire Safety Lecture at NYSC Orientation Camp, Fanisau.
The Federal Fire Service, Jigawa State Command, on Saturday 2nd May 2026, delivered an insightful and engaging lecture on Fire Safety, Prevention, Protection, and Control at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Batch A Stream II, held at the general Yakubu Gowon NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Fanisau, Dutse Jigawa State.
The lecture presented by DSF Muzzammil Gali, combined professional presentation with practical demonstrations where participants were educated on preventive measures, active and passive fire protection systems, and effective emergency response strategies. DSF Muzzammil stressed that safety starts with individual responsibility and urged corps members to extend fire safety awareness to their host communities.
The Command remains committed to safeguarding lives and property through continuous public enlightenment.

The event reaffirms FFS's commitment to inter-agency collaboration, youth development, public safety awareness, and national service.
