One of the gifts of the gospel, is the privilege of Sonship.
Sonship is an identity given to anyone who becomes part of a family.

Humanity has been in separation from God due to man’s sinful nature, but Jesus came to reconcile us to the father. We were strangers, unfamiliar with the covenant and non-beneficiaries of the Kingdom.

Today, we are no longer strangers in Christ, we have been converted to Sons, for God cannot use strangers to perfect his will. To fully partake in the Father-Son relationship, we must forsake all forms of sin and allow His glory to be made manifest in us.

The Gospel introduces us to a new family as citizens of Heaven.
