A STRANGER NAMED FRANK
Chapter 14:

Life in the mansion continued peacefully for some days.
To Dera, everything still felt perfect.

Having her best friend around made her even happier because she believed the people she loved most were finally together under one roof.
Frank treated Adaeze kindly because she was Dera’s friend, while Adaeze continued acting innocent and respectful inside the house.

But behind her sweet smile…
A dangerous plan was already waiting to unfold.

One beautiful evening, Frank and Dera prepared to go out together to visit one of Frank’s business friends in Lagos.

Before leaving, Dera smiled warmly at Adaeze.
“We won’t stay long,” she said happily. “Grace already prepared food ingredients for dinner.”

Adaeze smiled sweetly.
“Don’t worry. Enjoy yourselves.”

Immediately after they left the mansion, Adaeze slowly walked toward the kitchen.
Grace was already arranging some vegetables and ingredients on the kitchen table.

The moment she saw Adaeze enter, she smiled politely.
“Madam’s friend, let me start preparing dinner before they return.”

But Adaeze quickly stopped her gently.
“Grace, don’t stress yourself,” she said kindly. “You’ve been working all day. Go and rest small. Let me help you prepare the food today.”

Grace looked surprised.
“Ahhh no, it’s okay—”

Adaeze interrupted with another soft smile.
“Please now. Dera is my best friend. This is my home too.”

Grace smiled innocently.
She never suspected anything bad.
“Okay then,” she replied happily. “Thank you.”

As soon as Grace left the kitchen, Adaeze’s smile disappeared slowly.
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet and tense.

She carefully closed the kitchen door and slowly brought out the two wrapped items her mother had given her before leaving the village.
Her hands trembled slightly with nervous excitement.
“This is the beginning,” she whispered softly.

First, she carefully prepared the food beautifully.
The aroma filled the entire kitchen.
Then slowly…
She opened the black wrapped charm and secretly mixed it into Dera’s food.
After that, she opened the white wrapped charm and quietly placed it into Frank’s food exactly the way her mother instructed her.

When she finished, Adaeze smiled darkly to herself.
“Very soon,” she whispered, “everything will finally belong to me.”

A few minutes later, the sound of Frank’s car entering the compound echoed through the mansion.
Adaeze quickly hid every trace of what she had done and returned to her fake innocent smile.

Dera and Frank entered the house laughing happily after enjoying their outing together.
Immediately Adaeze welcomed them warmly.
“Welcome back!” she said excitedly. “I prepared dinner for both of you.”

Dera looked surprised immediately.
“You prepared food?” she asked. “But why? You are a visitor here. Where is Grace?”

Adaeze laughed softly.
“I told Grace not to worry. Besides, I’m not a visitor in my friend’s house now.”

Dera smiled emotionally.
“Awww… thank you.”

The three of them walked toward the dining table happily.
Beautiful dishes were arranged neatly while the delicious smell filled the room.

Dera smiled excitedly after tasting the food.
“Adaeze! I have really missed your cooking.”

Adaeze laughed softly.
“That’s why I decided to prepare something special for you and your husband.”

Frank also complimented the food politely.
The three of them laughed, ate, and talked together peacefully.

To Dera, it looked like a beautiful family moment.
But Adaeze sat quietly inside her happiness.
Every second felt like victory to her.

After dinner, everyone eventually went to their rooms for the night.

Inside her room, Adaeze sat quietly on the bed smiling to herself.
“My plan has finally worked,” she whispered slowly.

Meanwhile, something strange slowly began happening inside Frank’s heart.

At first, he could not explain it.
As he looked at Dera that night, a sudden irritation strangely entered his mind.
He shook his head immediately.
Maybe it was stress from work.
Maybe he was simply tired.

But as the days passed…
The strange feelings became stronger.

Little things Dera did suddenly annoyed him for no reason.
The same woman he once adored now somehow began looking different in his eyes.
Frank became confused.
Sometimes he stared at Dera strangely without understanding what was happening to him.

Then gradually…
His behavior toward her started changing completely.

One evening, Dera entered the sitting room smiling happily after arranging the bedroom.
But the moment Frank looked at her, his face tightened with irritation.
“Who are you?” he asked coldly.

Dera froze in shock.
“Frank?”

“What exactly are you doing here?” he snapped angrily.

Dera stared at him in disbelief.
“Frank… what are you saying?”

Frank stood up looking disturbed and frustrated.
“I don’t even understand anymore,” he muttered angrily.

Suddenly, the woman he once called beautiful now looked unattractive to him.
Even her presence irritated him.
To Frank, Dera strangely began looking ugly and unpleasant without reason.

Dera became deeply confused and hurt.
She could not understand what was happening to her loving husband.

Meanwhile…
From a distance, Adaeze secretly watched everything silently.

And deep inside her heart…

She smiled

A STRANGER NAMED FRANK
Chapter 13:

Later that evening, after several hours of traveling, Adaeze finally arrived in Lagos.
As the taxi slowly entered Frank’s street, Adaeze stared through the car window in amazement.

The environment alone screamed wealth and luxury.
Beautiful mansions lined the street while expensive cars moved quietly along the smooth roads.

But the moment the taxi stopped in front of Frank’s massive mansion, Adaeze’s eyes widened completely.
The gigantic black gate…
The shining lights…
The expensive cars parked neatly outside…
The breathtaking white mansion standing proudly behind the gate…
Everything looked like a dream.

“Wow…” Adaeze whispered slowly.
“So this is where Dera lives now?”

Her eyes darkened slightly with jealousy.
“Frank is truly rich,” she muttered softly to herself.

Then suddenly, a dangerous smile appeared on her face.
“From today… this house will become mine.”

Immediately, the gate man opened the gate after confirming her identity.
As Adaeze stepped inside the compound, she admired everything around her greedily.
The flowers, fountains, expensive decorations, and luxurious atmosphere made her even more determined.

Inside the mansion, Dera rushed downstairs excitedly the moment she heard Adaeze had arrived.
“Adaeze!” she screamed happily.
The two women hugged each other tightly.

“I’m so happy you came,” Dera said excitedly. “I’ve missed you so much!”

Adaeze forced a sweet smile immediately.
Inside her heart, however, another voice whispered differently.
_Don’t worry… this is my house now._

But outwardly, she acted lovingly.
“I missed you too, my friend,” Adaeze replied softly. “I’m so happy to see you again. Ahhh… we have plenty gist ooo!”

Dera laughed happily.
Without suspecting anything, she held Adaeze’s hand warmly and began showing her around the mansion proudly.

Adaeze admired every single room carefully while secretly imagining herself as the true owner of the house.

Finally, Dera opened the beautifully prepared guest room.
The room looked luxurious and elegant with soft lighting, expensive curtains, a massive bed, flowers, air conditioning, and a beautiful bathroom.

“Adaeze, this is your room,” Dera said happily. “Freshen up and come downstairs for dinner.”

Adaeze widened her eyes dramatically.
“Wow! This room is beautiful. Thank you so much, my friend.”

But immediately Dera stepped away, Adaeze’s smile changed slowly.
She looked around the room possessively.
“For now… this is my room,” she whispered quietly.

Then her expression darkened.
“But very soon, your entire life will become mine, Dera.”

She touched the soft bed gently while smiling bitterly.
“I came here to take what belongs to me.”
Her eyes hardened dangerously.
“Frank is mine… and there is nothing you can do about it.”

After freshening up, Adaeze finally came downstairs looking beautiful and cheerful again.

The dining area looked warm and welcoming.
Delicious food had already been arranged neatly on the table while Grace moved around serving drinks respectfully.
Adaeze sat down smiling happily like an innocent guest.

A few minutes later, the sound of a car entering the compound filled the house.
“Frank is back!” Dera said excitedly.

Immediately, she rushed toward the entrance happily.
Frank walked inside looking handsome in his expensive office outfit.

The moment he entered, Adaeze stood up politely.
“Welcome,” she said softly.

Frank smiled warmly.
“You are welcome to our home, Adaeze,” he replied respectfully.

Adaeze admired him secretly.
Seeing him up close again made her feelings even stronger.
Frank looked even more attractive in Lagos.
His confidence, wealth, and calm nature pulled her heart deeper into obsession.

But she quickly hid her emotions behind a fake innocent smile.

That evening, the three of them sat together laughing, eating, and talking happily.
Dera was overjoyed seeing both the people she loved most under the same roof.
She had no idea that one of them secretly wanted to destroy her happiness.

Meanwhile, Grace quietly observed Adaeze carefully from a distance.
Something about her smile felt strange sometimes.
But Grace pushed the thoughts away.

The next few days passed peacefully.
Adaeze behaved like the perfect guest.
She laughed with Dera, helped Grace in the kitchen occasionally, and acted respectful toward Frank.

To Dera, everything felt normal.
But secretly, Adaeze spent most of her time studying the house carefully.
She watched how Frank treated Dera lovingly.
She noticed his routines… his favorite meals… the times he returned from work… everything.

The jealousy inside her continued growing stronger every day.

Then finally, the weekend arrived.
Frank decided to take both women out so Adaeze could enjoy Lagos properly.

That Saturday morning, excitement filled the mansion.
Dera dressed beautifully while Adaeze also wore a stunning outfit that made her look elegant and attractive.

Frank drove them around Lagos in his luxurious car.
They visited beautiful places, expensive restaurants, shopping malls, beaches, and relaxing spots around the city.

Adaeze admired the luxurious lifestyle deeply.
Everything she saw made her desire Frank even more.
_This life belongs to me,_ she kept telling herself silently.

Meanwhile, Dera remained completely innocent and happy.
She laughed freely throughout the outing while taking pictures and creating beautiful memories with her husband and best friend.

To the outside world…
They looked like one happy family.

But hidden behind Adaeze’s beautiful smile was a dangerous plan slowly waiting for the perfect moment to begin.

He grew up in chaos.

His childhood was filled with screaming màtçhes, broken bòttlès, police visits, and sleepless nights. His parents were alcoholics who fought vì0lèñtly almost every day until they finally split when he was just nine years old. By then, he already knew the town cops by name.

Life didn’t become easier after the divorce.
He moved from place to place constantly — nearly twenty times before adulthood.

Stability was something he only saw in movies. School was brutal too. Depression followed him quietly for years while bùllÿìñg àttàçkèd him loudly. He struggled with severe acne, crooked teeth that destroyed his confidence, and the crushing loneliness of never really fitting in anywhere.

His mother, now a poor single parent, remained trapped in alcoholism. When she became disabled, the burden of survival slowly shifted onto his shoulders. At just sixteen years old, while most teenagers worried about parties and dating, he was helping pay rent, bills, and keeping food on the table.

But somewhere inside all that pain, he made a decision: he would not let his story end there.

After graduating high school, he packed everything he owned into a rented U-Haul truck and left Pennsylvania for New Hampshire at nineteen years old — right in the middle of the 2008 financial crisis.

No safety net. No wealthy family. No backup plan.

Just determination.

He worked two jobs while putting himself through college. At the same time, he financially supported his disabled mother and even her unemployed boyfriend. Most people would have broken under that pressure, but he kept moving forward one exhausting day at a time.

Slowly, things began to change.

He graduated college. He lost fifty pounds.

He transformed himself physically and mentally. He landed an office job while still keeping his college job as extra income.
Then came another battle — fixing the teeth he had been ashamed of his whole life. It cost him over $25,000 and required two painful oral surgeries that left him bedridden for weeks. But he did it anyway.

Because for the first time in his life, he was investing in himself.

In 2018, he bought a double-wide mobile home in a quiet rural area. It wasn’t a mansion, but to him, it represented something priceless:
peace.

At thirty, he finally started feeling financially stable. In 2022, he secured a better-paying, less stressful job. In 2023, he bought a brand-new car. In 2024, he pàid it off completely.

Now, at thirty-five years old, he’s preparing to pay off his home entirely by April. After that, he plans to take his first real vacation to somewhere far away — a reward for surviving a life that once seemed impossible to escape.

His childhood gave him every reason to fail.
But somehow, through pain, sacrifice, discipline, and relentless persistence, he built a life his younger self could only dream about.

And for the first time ever…

life finally feels okay.

No matter what never give up on yourself.
