Jesus’ words in this passage remind us of the immense value He places on children. In a world where children can often be overlooked or underestimated, Jesus welcomes them with open arms. He not only accepts them—He points to them as examples of the kind of humility, trust, and openness that we all must have to enter the Kingdom of God.
As parents, teachers, and spiritual leaders, our role is not to hinder children, but to guide them gently to Jesus through love, patience, and godly example. Let us nurture their faith and create environments where they feel seen, safe, and drawn to the love of Christ.
In welcoming children, we welcome Christ Himself.
