NHRC Anambra State conducted a “ROUND TABLE” on the 2nd of December 2025 in continuation of the 16 Days activism “UNITE TO END DIGITAL VIOLENCE AGAINST ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS.
Participants at this knowledgeable discourse include Religious bodies represented by both (Christian and Muslim faith), Gender Perspective and Social Development Centre, Davina Care foundation, FIDA, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Unizik FM (Press), Joint Association of Persons with Disabilities Anambra State Chapter (JONAPID), NBA, A Representative from Traditional institution and other Civil Society Organizations.
This symposium was on new ideas to curb Digital Violence Against Women especially exposing their nudes on the internet, blurring faces of minors involved in illicit or sexual acts, punishments to deter future culprits and enablers of such Crimes, one on one sensitization by all and sundry.
The Round table ended with a group photograph which included all the participants at the office premises.

As we celebrate HUMAN RIGHTS DAY 2025, NHRC Anambra State was not left out because this year’s global theme reminds us that Human Rights are “OUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS.
The staff of Anambra state office marched through the busy streets of Awka reminding citizens that they should not suffer in silence, the NHRC is here to protect and enforce their rights.
Some of the market women at the popular Nkwo Amaenyi Market who have previously benefited from our services thanked the Commission for its unwavering commitment and support to indigent people.
