If you have noticed, most times that you yell at kids, what you want is not what you get. It mostly worsens their behavior.

Do your best to understand your kids. To manage your emotions,try to have an action plan already before they get on your nerves.

Practical things you can do also include:

⛔Take a deep breath

⛔Teach the lesson later

⛔Give the punishment later also to avoid ambiguous threats.

One of the things most parents do is to say what they cannot do. Make threats they cannot carry out.

For some,it has become a regular thing. I mean Chidinma already knows that when mummy says that screen time will be reduced if the dishes are not done, she's just making an empty threat.

This is why,you should think before making any statement,giving punishments and making threats.

Whatever you say,make sure you follow it up.
