To calculate the radius of a flare skirt, you need to consider three things:

1. Your waist size (the measurement around your natural waistline)
2. How long you want the skirt to be
3. How flared (wide) you want the skirt to be at the bottom

The formula is like a recipe:

Radius (the distance from the waistline to the edge of the skirt) = (Waist size x Fullness) / 2 x 3.14 (Pi)

For example:

Waist size = 30 inches
Fullness = 1.5 (this means the skirt will be 1.5 times wider at the bottom than at the waist)
Radius = (30 x 1.5) / 2 x 3.14 = 9.55 inches

This means that the distance from the waistline to the edge of the skirt will be approximately 9.55 inches.

Think of it like a pizza. If you know how big the pizza is (waist size), how much crust you want (fullness), and how big you want the slices to be (radius), you can use this formula to figure it out!

Does that make sense?
