I, on behalf of my family, friends, and political associates, extend my heartfelt condolences to my friend and brother, Kingsley Kemebradigha Kuku, Ph.D., on the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (née Gbamila).

I fondly remember celebrating Mama’s 90th birthday in August—little did we know it would be her last. I take solace in the belief that Mama now rests peacefully in God’s bosom.

May the Almighty grant you and your family the strength and grace to bear her glorious passing onto glory.

Fellow Deltans and Nigerians,

On this 65th Independence Anniversary of our dear country, Nigeria, I join millions across our land to thank the Almighty God who has kept us as one people and nation. Indeed, our journey has not been without challenges, yet every trial we have faced has revealed our people's resilience, faith, and strength.

The greatness of Nigeria does not rest solely on government or leaders, but on its citizens' courage, creativity, and determination. We unleash the power to transform our land when we believe in ourselves.

This moment calls for fresh confidence and steadfast trust in God Almighty. Let us never forget that nations are not built in a day, but through years of courage, sacrifice, and shared vision. As Mahatma Gandhi reminded the world, “The future depends on what you do today.” If we hold fast to righteousness, unity, and hard work, the Nigeria of our dreams will surely emerge—a nation where justice reigns, prosperity is shared, and peace is permanent.

Each Nigerian has a sacred duty to believe in our collective destiny and to play their part in nation-building.

To every citizen, I encourage you to keep faith with God Almighty, for He alone is the source of true transformation. With our hands and hearts joined, and with God on our side, we shall rise above present difficulties into a future of greatness.
