THANK YOU, ORO: ESSU NLAP PRESIDENT LEADS EXCO TO THANKSGIVING SERVICE

The President of Essu Nlap Oro, Rt. Hon. (Sir) Effiong Johnson, has led his newly inaugurated Executive Committee (Exco) to a thanksgiving service at the Methodist Church, Nigeria, Uya Oro, this Sunday, 28th December, 2025.

Speaking during the service, Rt. Hon. Effiong Johnson expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor and the entire Oro community for the trust placed in him and his team. He pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the growth and development of Oro.

"This Sunday, we have come to return all glory and thanks to Almighty God. I and my executives consider this call to service a privilege to work for the advancement of Oro. I want to thank you all for believing in what we can do," he said.

Johnson also thanked the Deputy Governor, Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, for her role in promoting peace in Oro, praising her as a reliable Deputy who understands the Governor's vision for peace and unity in the State.

The Essu Nlap helmsman, who is also the Member representing Mbo local government and the Chief Whip, AKHA, urged attendees to pray for the Association's success.

Recalling the church's significant role in his life, the Knight of John Wesley pledged his continued support to the church and promised a successful administration.

Rt. Hon. (Sir) Effiong Johnson was accompanied by his Exco members to the service, which featured word exhortation, celebration of harvest, and thanksgiving.

Sir Effiong E Johnson attends Uda Development Union (UDU) Annual Conference, receives Posthumous Award of Excellence for Late father, Late HRM Offong Etim Mkpa Johnson clan head of Uquong.

Receiving the Award, the Chief Whip and Member Representing Mbo State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.(Sir) Effiong Effiong E Johnson kjw appreciates the award, stating that, since the late father's demise no one or group of persons has ever remembered the sacrifices of the late monarch.

Also, he congratulates the new elected president general of Uda Development Union (UDU), Chief Patrick Tom and the entire executives for their emergence, he added that, their tenure of leadership of UDU will birth true development in Uda.

He pledges support for the construction of a skill acquisition center and skill acquisition training for Uda people while calling on the youths to take this opportunity serious.
