*THE WORD IS THE WAY*
The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it had withered from the roots up.
_Mark 11:20 NLT_

There is a lesson for us today in the above verse. Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it heard and obeyed Him. It dried up so that no one ate its fruit after then. The Word of God does wonders. Speak It to your challenges, and they will dry up from their roots. Everything hears God's Word.

Notice that at first, it seemed like what Jesus said had no effect on the tree. But, something was happening inside. You must be patient. Speak the Word of God to the unproductive trees in your life. Talk to that debt that you owe. Tell it to bow out in Jesus's Name. Declare it paid and work hard to make it happen. You are a lender, not a borrower. God's Word is power when believers speak It in faith.

Jesus did not sit with the fig tree to see if it would obey Him. He went ahead with the Father's business, knowing that His Word was working. Each time you read your Bible and obey It, great things happen in your life. Bad habits and desires start to wither. As you continue in obedience, they will dry up from their roots, and men will see the difference. Don't give up on the Word because the testimony you expect has not manifested. The Word is working.

A couple kept speaking God's promises to their child, whom doctors said had a deformity. They were not discouraged when there were no physical changes in their child for years, but gradually, things began to change, and their little one was healed. Problems bow to the Word of God spoken in faith by a believer.

What is it that scares you? Speak God's Word to it. Afterwards, no matter how things appear in the physical, say nothing more. Let us learn a lesson from the Lord. He said nothing more about the tree. Many times, with our own words, we abort what God has started behind the scenes. Speak to your marriage, business, health, career, and everything else. Stop wondering how things will work out in your life. Turn to the Sword of the Spirit- the Word of God. Speak what God has promised in His Word concerning the things you desire. Speak them boldly and watch the Word make a way for you where there has been no way.

*PRAYER GUIDE*
1. Give God praise for His steadfast love and mercy. Praise Him for the potency of His Word.
2. Pray for the mercy of God if you have been complaining instead of feeding on God's Word, obeying It and speaking it in faith.
3. Declare boldly that doubt, fear and unbelief have no place in your life and family. Ask the Lord to cover you with His feathers.
4. Pray for the revival of total trust in the Word of God among believers everywhere. Pray that the Will of God will be done in the lives of widows, widowers, orphans, those trusting the Lord for life partners and the elderly.
5. Pray for divine protection for missionaries. Pray about your needs and for the peace of Isreal. Give God praise for the answers to your prayers.

*Inspiring Quote*
If we stand on God's word, God will stand by His word. No matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ Jesus.

*LET THE WORD PREVAIL*
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
_Acts 19:20 NIV_

The Word of God grows everywhere It is honoured, preached, and obeyed. The disciples went about preaching the Word, and It grew and prevailed. Are you truly saved? Do you do your best to keep the Word of God in your heart? Do you live by your Bible? If you do, the Word will never cease to increase in your life. As you honour It, and live by It, It will transform your life.

A true Christian is a new creation in Christ. Old things must pass away, and all things must become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Bible says 'all things have become new'. It does not say 'some things have become new'. This means that the new life we have in Jesus affects every area of our lives. Some believers boast about the fact that they do not take nonsense. Most of the people who refuse to let the Lord reign in their hearts when they are offended have very quick temper. Instead of crying unto the Lord for deliverance, they pride themselves in their anger.

The truth is that someone who claims to be a Christian, but does not see anything wrong with strife and fighting is most likely not truly saved. Gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit. God's Word places a person that is slow to anger above the mighty. It says a man that has control over his spirit is better than the man who takes over a city (Proverbs 16:32). This is serious, isn't it? As far as God’s Word is concerned, anger rests in the bosom of fools.

The story was told of a certain madman who, one day, became very angry with the rats in his house. To deal with them, he set his house ablaze and stood by, watching the flame eat up everything he owned. But, the rats did not burn as he supposed because they all jumped out and ran into the bush. The madman lost.

This is similar to what befalls the quick-tempered believer who refuses to let the Word of God prevail in his life. One day, the fire of his anger will destroy everything he has built, and he will end up a loser.
Surrender your life to the written Word of God. You will never have regrets in this life. In eternity, you will be glad you did.

*PRAYER GUIDE*
1. Give God praise for His mercy and for the gift of life.
2. Ask for His mercy if you have not been intentional about letting His Word prevail in every area of your life.
3. Ask the Lord to remove everything in you that is hindering your spiritual growth. Pray about your needs.
4. Pray for wisdom, divine provision, protection and strength for missionaries and their families. Ask the Lord to send help to widows, widowers, orphans and the fatherless.
5. Pray that the Word of God will prevail in your country. Pray for the peace Isreal. Thank God for the answers to your prayers.
