PROPHETIC COUNCIL OF NIGERIA: A PLATFORM FOR THE PROPHETIC ARM OF THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA.

We have a mandate from the Lord to provide a platform of interaction for the prophetic family in the Body of Christ, especially in Nigeria, and across the continent of Africa.

The prophetic group in the Church of Jesus Christ is made up of Christians who regularly receive instructions from the Lord through the Holy Spirit. All prophets are prophetic people, but not all prophetic people are prophets.

To be a prophet, one must have been called by God to occupy the office of the prophet. A prophet must have the ability to reveal things that will happen in the future, foretelling, as a significant aspect of their ministry. Foretelling must take place in the ministry of a genuine prophet regularly. No one can claim to be a true prophet of God except they operate consistently in at least two of the spiritual gifts of Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom and Discerning of Spirits.

The platform that will provide fellowship among prophets and sons and daughters of the prophets will help the prophetic family deal with the bad reputation that some charlatans claiming to be prophets have created for this strategic arm of the Lord's army. The group will set minimum parameters for determining whether a person is a genuine prophet or a false one. The platform is therefore coming into being for the purpose of restoring honour and dignity to the prophetic movement in Nigeria to start with.

This body shall be called the Prophetic Council of Nigeria, PCN. It shall provide the platform for networking among prophets and sons and daughters of the prophets in the land; protect the reputation of the prophet's calling and office by denouncing acts and practices that are outside the scope and framework of the prophetic ministry; and foster cooperation among prophetic ministers, ministries and bodies in the Body of Christ.
