GMO FOODS are foods that are derived from organisms whose genetic material(DNA) has been modified in a way that does not occur naturally, e.g, through the introduction of a gene from a differents organism. The acronym GMO stands for Genetically Modified. Most GMO foods stems from plants! Most existing genetically modified crops have been to increase yield, through the introduction of resistance to plant diseases or of increased tolerance to herbicides. THERE ARE GRAVE DANGERS OF CONSUMING GMO FOODS. Jeffrey M. Smith, the most well-known researcher of genetically modified organisms and foods in his book titled "SEED OF DECEPTION" wrote the definitive expose on the grave risks and danger of GMO's. Among the dangers mentioned are UNPRECEDENTED ALLERGIES, TOXINS, ANTIBIOTICS RESISTANT DISEASES, and NUTRITIONAL PROBLEMS. NOW, the stark reality is this! Most of the foods consumed in Nigeria and around the World are GMO! Hence the prevalence of acute health challenges. The question is! Has ORTHODOX or CONVENTIONAL MEDICATION lived up to the challenge? This is the subject of a subsequent post.
