Hon. Akinola Idowu to Unlock Transformation Through EASE Agenda in His First Budget.
The Executive Chairman of Orile Agege Local Council Development Area, Hon. Akinola Idowu, reaffirmed his commitment to revolutionize roads construction, healthcare service delivery, market upliftment, and security, amongst others, through the EASE Agenda in the forthcoming 2026 Budget.
Akinola stated this at the 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum held at the Council's Auditorium. In his speech, the Council Chairman emphasized that the purpose of the forum was to collectively envision, plan, and submit the needs of various wards in terms of expected projects to be implemented and captured in the 2026 Budget preparation. "Your invaluable insights and contributions will propel us toward inclusive and sustainable development."
The administration's focus remains unwavering, anchored on four key pillars represented by the acronym EASE: Health, Education, Empowerment, Infrastructure, and Security.
E: Empowerment entails unlocking the potential of youth and women, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, and community development.
A: Access to Education prioritizes quality learning and tools for every child in Orile Agege.
S: Social Infrastructure and Sustainable Environment involves developing and maintaining essential social amenities while promoting sustainable environmental practices.
E: Enhanced Health prioritizes residents' health and well-being by strengthening healthcare services and organizing health awareness campaigns. He also promised to install 3,000 solar power to illuminate Orile Agege Community as part of security measures to curb insecurity challenges.
Akinola highlighted his administration's achievements since assuming office, including road infrastructure, education, welfare, and empowerment.
The stakeholders' contributions emphasized construction of good road networks, quality healthcare delivery, education, youth empowerment, infrastructure, market upliftment, and security. At the event's conclusion, Agege APC Apex Leader, Chief Alhaji Safari Adaranijo, commended the chairman's visionary and inclusive leadership style, while His Royal Majesty, Oba Ambaliu Akeem Adegbeyi (JP), lauded the initiative and prayed for peace, unity, and continued progress across Orile Agege. A vote of thanks was delivered by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Wale Fayemi.

AGEGE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PARTNERS LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL TO PROVIDE FREE EYE CARE FOR RESIDENTS
In Commemoration of World Sight Day
In celebration of World Sight Day, the Agege Local government under the leadership of Hon. Abdul Ganiyu obasa Vinod, has partnered with the Lions Club International, District 404B3 Nigeria, to organize a Free Eye Health Outreach for residents of the community.
The humanitarian initiative, held at the Agege local government Secretariat, aims to promote quality eye care and raise awareness about the importance of vision health. The exercise featured free eye screening, distribution of medications, reading glasses.
In his remarks, Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Obasa Vinod commended the Lions Club for their unwavering commitment to community service and described the partnership as a reflection of his administration’s dedication to improving residents’ access to quality healthcare. He emphasized that good vision is essential for productivity, education, and overall wellbeing.
The council boss further reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue providing free and accessible health initiatives, focusing on preventive care and partnerships that impact lives.
Representatives of the Lions Club International, District 404B3, lauded the Executive Chairman for his vision-driven leadership and readiness to collaborate on humanitarian causes, describing the exercise as a step toward reducing preventable blindness and improving public health awareness.

Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Obasa Vinod, was today conducted on a comprehensive tour of the Community police in Agege, also known as PARAMOLE, on the expansive parade ground located inside the Agege local government secretariat. This significant visit took place early this morning, before Hon. Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Obasa Vinod proceeded to a crucial stakeholders meeting, where key issues affecting the local government were expected to be discussed and addressed.
