*BREAKING NEWS: THE SECRETS BEHIND LANDING FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP IN AMERICA.*

Each school in america has a cap range of the number of international students they accept every year. They also have a funding cap.

Thousands of people are applying to America schools every single year. And most of these international students rely on scholarship opportunities which unfortunately they have just few.

Here is how to break the competition and knock down all the students that will be competing with you.

1. Choose a research area that has a lot of funding opportunities. Some research areas are freaking hard to get funding from.

2. Build a very strong profile. Publish papers if you're in STEM, acquire certifications, gain work experience, write GRE if you can and, attend conferences, do everything you can do to build a very strong profile.

3. Always reach out to your departmental graduate coordinator to know if there is fully funded opportunity for MSc and PhD programs. Because some field didn't have full funding for MSc any longer. So, you don't wanna waste your time. Most PhD programs are always fully funded. Some professors still fund MSc though from there own pocket.

4. Develop a killer CV.

Sit down and highlight your:

Objective statement
Education
Research Experience
Teaching Experience
Work Experience
Volunteering experience
Skills
Certifications
Professional Membership and Affiliations
Honours and Awards
Publications
Conferences and Presentations
Additional activities

Always outline your accomplishments not tasks or responsibilities. Most people usually outline there responsibilities. No body cares. They only care about the impact you've made. Outline them by percentage, ratio and numbers.

5. Create an irresistible cold email template.

Reference one of the professors recent paper on Google scholar, research gate, academic, science direct and the likes.

Commend the professor and his team for adding value to that field.

Let the professor know that his research interests aligns perfectly with your own and how you'll contribute significantly to his research group with your research skills.

Pick either one of your papers, final year project or work experience and talk about how you're incredibly passionate about this field and the impact you have made to that field due to your passion.

Most importantly, talk about your purpose of coming to graduate school and how that purpose will impact your country positively.

Attach your CV, paper and transcript to the email and gently request a zoom call meeting with the professor for further information about who you are.

End with a thank you note and sign out.

5. Target 5 professors who are willing to fund you before the end of September.

6. Prepare all your documents. CV, SOP, transcripts, passport, and many more.

In addition, fall in love with your recommenders, let them know your vision of furthering your education ahead. Give them a format of how to write a strong recommendation letter and not those generic ones.

7. Apply to the 5 schools in November or before your school deadline for priority funding.

In addition, if you don't have enough zoom calls and you want to compete with the world. Apply to 15 schools in the USA, one or two or probably 3 might drop if you have a good profile.

5 high rankings, 5 low rankings and 5 medium rankings schools.

8. Always visit the website of the schools you want to apply to for there hosted events. Some schools usually host events for prospective students where they share application fee waivers for those who attended there event.

9. Forget about your past. Focus on the future. Don't let your bad past experiences define you. Set your eyes on the goal. And I can bet you, you'll be successful.

10. Don't remove God in your equation. With God all things are possible.

I remain my humble self, 🙇‍♂️
