SECURITY OPERATIVES MADNESS IN ANAMBARA COMMUNITY

Kudos to Governor Soludo for the great step, but their is a way forward to stop this madness or show of power.
When I saw the viral video of a Corp member assort by the community security outfit, I lamented on their behavior which is not expected.

It is a disgrace to the security apparatus of the community and a disrespect to the fundamental human right of the Corp member. No matter the crime she committed, she shouldn't have gone through this cruel display of immaturity from the security men.
It is of a fact that security men and women should understand their duties and also understand that even as they carry out their duties, they should also understand that they need to uphold the rights of the citizens
These are some of the reasons some Nigeria's don't support community policing because of this attitude.
most of them are not well trained and some of them take laws into their hands because they handle guns.
Security is a modest job and a job that is ment to protect people and not embarrass people or cause violence as they carry out their job as security men.
The state government should please make sure that this men are well trained, not just on security matters but also how to respect people's right as they go about doing their job.
As a security educationist I recommend Security education training and awareness program (SETAP) for all the community security to understand their roles as a security personnel.

The state government should partner the relevant agencies to train this men in their job or better still employ some private security company to educate this men on what to do as security men.

This show of madness should not be seen any where near the social media because it speaks bad of the state and the nation at large. Therefore, I call on the state government and NYSC not to just keep quiet on this but also punish them because negligence of the law is not an excuse because they are suppose to know the law as security operatives.
