A LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45).

In 1 Corinthians 15, there's a long discussion by Paul the Apostle where he draws differences between the natural and the spiritual, the terrestrial and the celestial, the first Adam and the second Adam. He said, “...The first man Adam was made a living soul….” That’s referring to Adam in the Garden of Eden. The Bible says God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living soul (Genesis 2:7).

But the Lord Jesus, the second and last Adam, is a life giving Spirit, and you’re born after Him. Those who aren’t born again are born after the first Adam, the man of dust. They’re mere living souls, and that’s why they’re ruled by selfishness and driven by earthly desires.

But the Lord from heaven, whose icon we are and whose image we bear, is Life and the Life-giver. As He is, so are we (1 John 4:17). His very nature is to give and to dispense life. Therefore, being born after Him, you’re a life-giving spirit. You live by the law of the Spirit of life. You express His love, power and righteousness.
The Bible says, “The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven” (1 Corinthians 15:47). Then it declares further, “As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly” (1 Corinthians 15:48). This is a present reality; we’re like Him now. We’re heavenly men and women in the earth.

It helps you understand why the Lord Jesus said you’re not of this world (John 15:19). You hail from God (1 John 4:4); your origin is divine. Your words, like those of the Master, are spirit and life: “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). You dispense the presence and life of the Holy Spirit in words full of power. You’re not an earthling but a heavenly being. Blessed be God!

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of my identity in Christ. I’m born after the last Adam, a life-giving spirit, full of grace and power. I dispense life to my world through words inspired by the Spirit. I’m conscious of my heavenly origin; therefore I manifest your righteousness, glory and love everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

IT’S GOING TO BE BY FAITH

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed (1 Corinthians 15:51).

Contrary to religious assumptions, the Bible doesn’t say everybody is going to die. Ponder again our opening verse of scripture: The Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, unveils a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

In other words, there’s a generation of the Church that’ll see the Rapture without experiencing death, and that’s our generation because we believe and walk in this revelation. Our faith is incontrovertible. That translation that we're going to have, which is called the Rapture of the church, is going to be an expression of our faith. It’s not going to happen with unbelief.

God gave us Enoch in the Old Testament as an example. The Bible says, "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death..." (Hebrews 11:5). He was raptured by faith. But before his translation, he had the testimony that he pleased God, and the Bible says without faith it’s impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

Enoch walked with God by faith, and one day, "...he was not; for God took him" (Genesis 5:24). In the same way, the Church will be translated from this earth by faith very soon. The Lord is coming for a people who are in faith, ready and expectant, living in the consciousness of His soon return.

Expectation is faith in demonstration. Like the man at the gate called Beautiful, who looked at Peter and John, expecting to receive something, our gaze is on the Lord, expecting His appearing. Remember what the Word says, “…unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).

Hence, if anyone criticises your strong message of faith, remind them of Enoch, a man whose faith was such that he left this world without experiencing death. You belong to that same lineage of faith. You’re being built by the Word for that glorious moment.
Therefore, keep your heart set on Him. Live every day with the consciousness that you’re in the generation privileged to bring the message of the Gospel to its fullness and to anticipate and experience the Rapture of the Church. Glory to God!

PRAYER / CONFESSION

I live in joyful expectation of the coming of the Lord, walking in faith and pleasing Him in all things. My life is ordered by God’s Word; I am steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of God. I walk in righteousness and in the light of God’s Word, looking forward to the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE ESSENCE OF DIVINE LOVE
..he that hath seen me hath seen the Father… (John 14:9).

People have used the word “love” for generations without capturing or understanding the true essence of its meaning. Even the Greek word “agape,” which is one of the translations of the word love, was known before Christ came. Yet, human definitions never captured the essence of divine love.

The Lord Jesus gave meaning to love. When you saw Him, you saw Love in action. He’s the manifestation of God’s love. The Bible says, “...God is love” (1 John 4:8). Love was tabernacled in human flesh in Jesus Christ. When He preached in the temple, as Luke 4:16-21 tells us, it was God’s love in action.

He read from the scroll of Isaiah and declared, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears,” revealing His mission to bring salvation, healing, and love into the world. Then He acted it. He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, fed the multitude, and raised the dead. That was God’s love in display.

Matthew 14:14 says, “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.” His compassion drove Him to heal the sick, showing that love and mercy were at the very heart of His ministry.

Even when He drove out the money changers from the temple (read John 2:13-17), that act wasn’t anger but righteous love. His zeal was rooted in love for His Father’s house. When He rebuked Herod as a fox in Luke 13:32, it was a bold expression of truth and love. He was calling out wickedness with righteous authority.

Finally, His lamentation over Jerusalem in Matthew 23:37 shows His deep love and longing for the salvation of His people, “O Jerusalem... how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” These acts and words reveal that the life of the Master was a perfect manifestation of divine love.

Love is not defined by human sentiment, emotion, weakness, or permissiveness. Love is the person of Jesus Christ revealed to us. He was fully God and fully man. The more you know Him through the Word and by the Spirit, the clearer your understanding of love. And as you walk in His nature, you become the manifestation of God’s love to your world.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, thank you for sending Jesus as the full expression of your unfailing love. His life in me is the life of love. I walk in the light of His Word and express His character; through me, many experience your love, compassion, grace, and transforming power, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
