This is becoming scary. Any national hardship that impedes access to healthcare is a planned man-made disaster. I mean, people are already fed up with the high cost of food and this as well? No, no, it doesn't sound good. What should those in the rural area do?

Over 8 million people die every year and over 600 million trees are cut down yearly as a result of to***co production, sale and use. It's World No To***co Day today and with the theme "PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM TO***CO INDUSTRY INTERFERENCE," we shed light on e-ciggarettes, a ni****ne-based product which is hooking a lot of children and youths today.

E-ci******es also known as electronic ci******es or vapes are battery-operated devices that emit a v***rized solution to inhale. They are marketed by to***co industry as less harmful than traditional ci******es. Instead of smoke, a user of e-cigarette inhales v***r. As such, using an e-cigarette is known as va**ng. The v***r usually contains ni****ne, a base and flavor. An e-cigarette may look like a cigarette, a cigar, a pipe, a pen, or a USB drive. It has a battery which can be charged this making it reusable and hence the name, e-ciggarette.

E-ci******es have been marketed and targeted at children and youths by the to***co industry. The children and youths are replacement for their customers who die off. An estimated 37 million children aged 13โ€“15 years use to***co and globally, in most countries that have measured it, use of the industryโ€™s electronic products is more prevalent among young people than among older people.

E- ci******es are highly attractive to children and youths as they are produced in designs that resemble toys, candy or child-friendly drinks, use cartoon characters, or incorporate sleek, high-tech designs. Some can be integrated into hoodies or resemble pens, lipsticks or watches, so they can be hidden and used in places where smoking or e-cigarette use is not permitted. They are also addictive due to the presence of ni****ne in many and flavoring. It is known that there are at least 16,000 attractive flavours of e-cigarette.

E-ci******es are dangerous to health and pose a great risk especially now that children and youths are using them. E-cigarette use have been linked by medical practitioners to lung disease. It has also been linked to mouth cancer and in children and adolescents, it has negative impacts on brain development, leading to learning and anxiety disorders. Also, ni****ne exposure in pregnant women can adversely affect the development of the fetus.

Our children and youths could be in great danger due to the exposure to e-ciggarettes. Let's stand up now and fight against this harmful product.

Happy World No To***co Day

Firstly, I want to say a very big congratulations to our brother Munachimso on making it to the top in the recent JAMB exam. Indeed he has made us proud and I pray that God will continue to give you more wisdom to excel in your academics.

To those of you who fall under the 76%, I want you to know that you are the best. You did amazingly awesome. Do not be hard on yourself, and do not refuse food because you scored below 200, I want you to know that I love you all.

Parents, I request that you do not compare your children with anyone's child or their mates. Encourage them to do better. Tell them that you love them and that they are not failures. Sometimes, it is a heads-up for them to wake up put be more serious with their studies or God preparing them for a better and greater things in life.

I was once like them. During my time I registered for both WAEC and NECO and what surprised me was that when the results came out, those who could not afford both were the ones who had good results in their WAEC. WAEC cancelled my physics.

Then during JAMB, I prepared very well reached the centre, first set wrote and came out, it was our time we all went in to write the exam. Just like 10 minutes after we started the exam the whole computer started having issues. They told us to wait, and they restored it and we continued and after some time again in my row, the people beside me were writing and my computer started having issues again. That was how I didn't finish and the invigilator walked me out of the hall. My village people remembered me. ๐Ÿ˜† I wept bitterly and refused to eat.

I didn't stop there, I had to register for WAEC and JAMB again. I was able to make my WAEC this time but JAMB was still like Mount Everest unable to climb.
Little did I know that God was preparing me for something greater.

Different people said different things then. Some said Wisdom you have a call to become a pastor go and answer your call that is why God doesn't want you to go to the university. ๐Ÿ™„ hello are you okay?

Some said Wisdom, the university is not for you go and learn handwork and stop wasting your time. ๐Ÿ˜’

Some people laughed at me and said that I didn't know book too well which is why I couldn't make it to the university. Some of my friends I finished secondary school with began to avoid me because they had gotten an admission and had no business with me.
They changed friends and no longer reply to my messages again or talk to me because their levels have changed. I felt bad. ๐Ÿคจ

Today, we thank God for not giving up on us because I was able to gain admission. Not only that, I have access to opportunities that will take me around the world.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, I want you all to know that God has a plan for you. People will say anything and treat you anyhow but I want you to say good things to yourself and tell yourself that you can be anything.

My boss, King-david Sunshine usually tells me "Wisdom listen to me, if any door closes, God will open another door." And indeed God usually opens another door.

Believe in God and hold him by his word, remind him what he says in his words. Talk to him like your father and do your part like his son by studying your books. Use your time wisely, don't use it on movies or social media. Use it to study.

To our parents, try as much as you can to send your children to the best schools. Quality education plays a very big role in developing your children. Let it cost you something.

You can't pay school fees of 3,000 per term and expect your child to score 350 and above in JAMB. Invest in them by giving them quality education. Send them to WAEC and JAMB preparation centres. It helps. God bless you all.
