“This year I am choosing to go hard on myself like never before”
This is one statement I have heard countless time and it is only the 10th day of the year. No doubt everyone looks forward to a better year ahead this 2023 but it's not only about ‘Going hard’!!

My name is Dera Virtual a social media manager and UX/UI designer...would have loved to dive in to tell you more about me but that is a story for another day.
But look, there is something I would like you to know about me, I am CONSISTENT and I like to show up when I am called upon.
It has become a thing for me and to tell you the truth I learnt not by going hard but by moving Smart.
In my experience as a VA/SM manager, I have come to understand that consistency is the one thing you need to help you transform from Average to excellent and will work if you are result oriented.

✨Here are few things for you to know if you are looking to go hard in your life, in your business or in your career this year.

✎ Consistency creates awareness. Simply put, it is that ingredient that helps people to reliably identify you and know what to expect from you. They can either be customers, client's or your audience.

✎ Consistency gives you time to measure your goals. Personally, I tend to ask myself questions like- ‘Is there an increase in my audience this week’ or ‘Is there an increase in our website traffic’? My confidence to ask these questions and foresee a result is due to the fact that I showed up to do something over the week. Take it that you are measuring you ROI only that in this case your investment is your Time.

✎ Consistency creates trust. Everyone has a concrete reason why they are on to something. For a brand, it could be as a result of shared value but in most cases I have come across, people follow brands because of the authenticity of content. A good example is NIKE- everyone knows the brand with it's iconic tick and “JUST DO IT” tagline. That is the level of trust they have built with staying consistent to one brand identity.

I can understand that sticking to the same element everyday can be boring so much that you feel tempted to change direction, but It is important to know that when it comes to going hard and how people see you, consistency is the key!
