Hidden Truths in the Bible
The Temple was gold.
The nation was a co**se.
Before Ezekiel ever saw the valley of dry bones, Israel had already committed spiritual su***de. They hadn't just made mistakes; they had systematically cut themselves off from the Source of Life. By the time they were in exile, they weren't just "struggling"—they were spiritually extinct.
How the Nation Died
The "dryness" Ezekiel saw was the result of a three-stage rot:
The Poison of Idolatry: They tried to mix the worship of God with the worship of the world. They brought "other gods" into the Holy Place, not realizing that you cannot breathe heaven's air while choking on the fumes of idols.
The Hardness of Injustice: They kept the religious rituals but oppressed the poor. Their religion became a hollow shell; they had the "look" of life but the "smell" of greed.
The Departure of Glory: The final blow came when the Presence of God—the very Breath of the nation—slowly lifted from the Temple and departed. Without God, the nation didn't just become weak; it became a skeleton.
Why God Sent the Prophet
Why bother with a valley of bones that had been dry for generations?
For His Name’s Sake: God didn't want the world to think death had the final word over His people. He saved them to show that His power is greater than their failure.
For the Promise: He had made a covenant. Even when the people were faithless and "dead," God remained faithful. He sent a prophet because His love is more stubborn than our rebellion.
"Then he said to me: 'Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, "Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off."'"
(Ezekiel 37:11)
The miracle of the valley is that God didn't wait for the bones to "improve" themselves. He met them in their most hopeless, sun-bleached state and spoke life into the dust. He sent a prophet not just to tell them they were dead, but to prove that He is the Resurrection.
Are you trying to "fix" a spiritual dryness with more effort, or are you ready to admit you're empty so that His Spirit can finally breathe on you?

Readiness is not perfection. It is surrender.
We often think being “ready” for God means fixing everything first, healing every wound, breaking every bad habit, becoming strong, disciplined, and flawless. But that’s not just what He’s looking for.
He’s not waiting for a polished version of you. He’s longing for a yielded one. Readiness is when your heart whispers, “Lord, I am still in process… but I am Yours.”
It’s when you stop hiding your mess, and start placing it in His hands. When you stop performing and start abiding.
Because the truth is, God doesn’t prepare perfect people. He prepares surrendered ones.
The ones who say yes in the middle of uncertainty. The ones who stay when it’s uncomfortable. The ones who keep choosing Him, even when their hearts are still learning how.
You don’t need to have it all together to be ready. You just need to be fully His.
And that quiet, trembling “yes” in your spirit right now, that desire to belong to Him, to follow Him, to love Him more, that is readiness.
So don’t wait to become someone else. Don’t delay your surrender until you feel worthy.
Come as you are. Lay it all down. Because heaven doesn’t respond to perfection, it responds to surrender.
And a heart fully His… is always ready ❤️🔥
