BUILD WHILE WAITING

Do you remember young David Jesse in the Bible? The young rudy boy (as described in the Bible)? I bet you do

Do you still remember how he slaughtered Goliath and won the battle for Israel? I still bet you do

Now, hear this...

He did not just wake up one morning to become "David the slayer of Goliath", he trained (in the bush as a shepherd boy protecting and defending his flock from wicked animals) before becoming a mighty man of Valour.

He defeated his ego by tending to his father's flock in the bush, he defeated his fears by fighting off lions and bears when ever they attacked his flock, he found himself while waiting as a shepherd boy.

What about Joseph - the dreamer? The one so hated by his brothers to the extent they sold him out to foreigners(Egyptians); he became a slave serving his master as a housekeeper and personal assistant.

He later moved from serving his master to becoming a prisoner after which he became a prime minister in a foreign land (Egypt).

Here's the crux of this article:

David built while waiting (serving), likewise Joseph.

He gathered all the necessary skills he will need in life while a shepherd boy. Likewise Joseph, he learnt a lot while serving his master as a housekeeper and personal assistant.

Life is so full of uncertainties.
Sometimes we find ourselves in places or levels we have outgrown due to unpleasant and unexpected events but the truth is, don't loose sight of how great you are, how valuable and priceless you are because if you do, you might never overcome that temporal pain and shame that life has served.

Wherever you find yourself now, however demeaning or unpleasant it might be, don't stay idle, don't dwell in self pity, don't dwell in the bo***ge of mediocrity.

Stay humble, gather skills and experiences while serving (or waiting) where ever you find yourself.

Be courageous like David and Joseph, do no harbour doubts nor fears, trust in God and do the right thing.

YOU OWE ME A LOT

Have you wondered why you approach people for help when in distress?

Have you given it a thought why people approach you for assistance when in distress?

The reason is because by natural law, we are meant for each other or for one another.

When you have the opportunity to help but refuse to do so, you have sinned against God who gave you the opportunity to help others and your fellow man.

It is your right to demand help or favour from those within your circle of influence because they are there for you and you are there for them too.

Imagine those who sought healing from Christ and did not receive it (when they know Christ can change their situation for good); how would you feel if you were in their shoe??

The reason why God put you in the midst of people is so that they can lend you a helping hand whiles they can and you likewise.

Don't be carried away when stingy and insensitive people say they owe you nothing; they owe you and I in as much as they live amongst us.
