Imagine the stress of last-minute details, only to be faced with a demand to cancel because a wedding gown wasn't presented to a pastorate for 'approval.' I won't mention the name of the church.

It got me thinking: Somewhere along the way, have we forgotten that a wedding is about the couple, their love, and their commitment? When did the logistics of tradition start overshadowing the humanity of the people involved?
