Make Me Proud My Daughter Initiative

My name is AKPERI QUEENETH IHUOMA, a student of Rivers State University, department of civil engineering. By the grace of God, am currently KCi Chastity Beauty Queen 2025/2026.

Beginning in January 2026, I will be leading the Team MakeMeProudMyDaughter – KingJesus Charity Int’l Girl-Child Education Project across selected secondary schools in Port Harcourt City.

The above initiative is aimed at educating teenage girls on the dangers of premarital s*x, teenage pregnancy, abortion, prostitution, and other related social issues through the KCi Chastity Campaign. Our mission is to catch them young and guide them toward a life rooted in purpose and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Objectives of the KCi Chastity Campaign:

1. To significantly reduce the rate of teenage pregnancy within our communities by educating young girls on the dangers of premarital s*x.

2. To provide a safe and supportive environment where teenage girls can interact healthily and express themselves confidently and intelligently, thereby enhancing their educational, social, and spiritual development.

3. To instill in young girls the values of womanhood and dignity, helping them discover their identity and purpose early in life.

4. To protect and advocate for girls’ education across Africa.

5. To help young girls discover and maximize their full potential, talents, and gifts, empowering them to fulfill their divine purpose.

6. To nurture them early in the knowledge and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am deeply passionate about this humanitarian project because it aligns with my destiny and purpose. I sincerely appreciate the Founder of KingJesus Charity International (KCi), Pastor Franklin Elekwa, for granting me the opportunity to grow, discover my potential, and contribute meaningfully to my generation.

(KingJesus Charity Int'l Girl Child Education Project) was launched on April 22nd, 2019, driven by a passion to raise a new generation of responsible young girls who embody excellence in all aspects of life and bring joy and blessings to their families.

Our initiative focuses on educating teenage girls in primary and secondary schools about the dangers of premarital s*x, teenage pregnancy, abortion, and other related issues. We create a safe space for healthy interaction among girls, where they can express themselves freely and intelligently.

Our campaigns center on teaching young girls the value of womanhood and dignity. Additionally, we provide sanitary pads and scholarships to girls from underprivileged backgrounds. Our goal is to reduce the high rate of teenage pregnancies and abortion across every state, empowering every girl child to reach her full potential.

We launched our chastity campaign in various secondary schools on February 17th, 2020, focusing on teaching teenage girls about the importance of womanhood and dignity.

During the MakeMeProudMyDaughter 1st General Assembly on October 20th, 2025, we crowned our first Chastity Queen, who will lead our campaign against premarital s*x, teenage pregnancy, and abortion, alongside our initiative ambassadors. It was an inspiring event.

My heart bleeds as I write this. I am overwhelmed by my concern for our teenage girls—the future wives, mothers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, and leaders of tomorrow. These young women will become educated mothers who raise well-mannered and admired members of society. Yet, they are often destroyed by the issue of premarital s*x.

Premarital s*x is a devastating weapon that the devil uses to destroy the futures of our young girls. God designed s*x for a divine purpose, but the lack of understanding among our teenage girls leads to its abuse. The devil thrives on our ignorance, using it to hunt and destroy us. The harms and destruction caused by the abuse of s*x are unimaginable, targeting our young girls, who often fall prey to the desires of both married and unmarried men. These men exploit vulnerable girls without regard for their future, leaving them to face the consequences alone.

As a result, many young girls end up facing teenage pregnancies, abortions, child abandonment, rejection, HIV/AIDS, dropping out of school, and shattered dreams. It is often the girls who suffer the shame and rejection from family and society, while the men face no consequences.Shall we continue to watch this cycle repeat in our community? Is there no initiative to rescue our teenage girls?

On April 22, 2019, KCi answered these questions by launching the MakeMeProudMyDaughter Initiative. This initiative aims to raise a new generation of responsible young girls who exemplify excellence and bring joy to their families.
The initiative focuses on educating teenage girls in primary and secondary schools about the dangers of premarital s*x, teenage pregnancy, abortion, prostitution, and related issues. We create an atmosphere where girls can express themselves freely and intelligently without fear.

All our campaigns center on teaching young girls the value of womanhood and dignity. We also provide sanitary pads and scholarships for girls from poor homes. Our goal is to reduce the high rates of teenage pregnancies and abortions in every state and to empower every girl child. Our Chastity Campaign is ongoing in various secondary schools in Aro and beyond.

We appeal to responsible mothers and fathers to support the MakeMeProudMyDaughter Initiative. If we guide our teenage girls properly today, they will grow up to be responsible married women who build their homes with good morals and dignity.

Congratulations to 32 yr old Ivanna Seymour out of the Bahamas on becoming the first Bahamian captain of the brand new massive Royal Caribbean Cruise ship the Utopia of the Seas which is the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world holding 8000 passengers and crew and will set sail for the first time on July 19th 2024!

Captain Ivanna will be sailing Utopia of the Seas’ into her home country Nassau, Bahamas on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 from Port Canaveral in Florida. At a young age of 32 years old, she has earned this prestigious position through hard work and dedication.

Her journey from a mailboat crew to the helm of a cruise ship shows the world that Bahamians and Caribbean girls can achieve great things.
