"Chronic MO"
Lately, Iโve come across a few rants from friends who feel left behind as they watch their peers move forward in specialty training while they remain where they are.
Hereโs my take on it.
For me, it doesnโt matter whether youโre a "chronic MO" or an "acute MO"๐ฌ, as long as youโre dedicated to your work, you have my utmost respect.
In my workplace, I have nothing but admiration for senior MOs and MOICs who are dedicated upholding their responsibility, even when some people label them as "chronic MOs."
Even as an FMS, I make it a point to address them as "Doctor so and so" and introduce myself whenever I speak to them.
Because respect and appreciation should never be tied to titles or career paths.
Thatโs why I gave my all in organizing a special AI Application Workshop for them ; to help them stay ahead with AI technology and make their administrative work more efficient.
I lost sleep, sacrificed rest, and even used my own pocket money to ensure everything ran smoothly and was enjoyable.
Because they deserve it.
And seeing their genuine appreciation made it all worth it.
One MOIC even joked:
"Ya Allah, kenapa rambutku dah beruban baru tahu benda ni. Bolehlah, tak jadi pencen awal. Hahaha."
That moment?
Priceless.
At the end of the day, seniority isnโt about the title you hold - itโs about the dedication you bring to your work.
And for that, I salute them.
