Eddie Evolves

To be honest, I had a bunch of plans/expectations set about how I was going to spend my first week or so arriving to the US after living in Mexico for the last 5 months.

Finding myself in a season of a loss of motivation for some of that, struggling to fully show up for myself, and mentally beating myself up because of it, wasn’t a part of that plan

But that’s how it’s been, and I get to be real with how I’ve been feeling these last few days, and I also get to ask myself why I’ve been judging myself for that, and get curious about what’s really happening…

The more I’ve sat with it, the clearer my answer becomes:

I feel my soul asking me to slow down, nourish, reflect on my journey, and integrate any lessons I haven’t given much space to. Because if I’m being honest, a LOT has happened for me in these last few months, and sometimes it seems like life goes by too fast to even process what’s happened.

Yo share about all of that in this post would take more than a few hours to write, not to mention that damn 2200 character limit I always seem to reach

So instead of going into all the ‘stuff’ that’s happened in the last few months that’s completely obliterated my perspective on myself and all of life as I know it, knowing that energy speaks louder than words ever will, I’ll share a short free verse poem about the prevalent thoughts in my consciousness lately:

I am the answer,

Love is the answer,

and I am love….

Every time I choose love,

The magical essence of my soul becomes embodied in my way of being

Every time I express love,

The entire universe thrives and infinitely amplifies that love beyond space and time

And in this world,

A world that I am not separate from,

there is no giving or receiving love

There is only love

I am you,
you are me,
and WE,
are love

~

That sums up some of the most important life lessons I’ve been sitting with lately. Love has led me on quite the journey. And integrating it’s teachings continues to be my practice, not my perfection. We’re all in this together.
