I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I did not pre plan anything, and this is a one take all the way through. I basically improvised until I got the result I needed. Fixing a $1000 dollar microphone that the company would not warranty with a few cents of automotive hose. It is really a shame that someone who it nos handy with electronics, or who does not have access to some that is, could lose such an expensive piece of gear, for what is such a small problem. I personally have some Warm Audio gear, and I have had a decent experience with most of it. However, the issue with cheaper replica gear, is that the manufacturers may not be willing or able to supply you with replacement parts. If you are going to buy pro audio gear, I highly recommend sticking with companies that manufacture their own equipment, or atleast have a close enough relationship with their overseas factories, so that they can provide consumers with individual repair parts. I also think companies should be more flexible in their warranties. Living outside of the United States or Europe often means having to import gear. Frequently, even if the customer is willing to pay for shipping, these companies will not warranty their products because of where they are being used. It is fair that they may not want to pay for logistics, but if a customer can prove the product is still in the warranty period, and can get it shipped to them for service, they should never refuse a repair regardless of the country the product ultimately ended up in.
