Abu Hurairah reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best month for observing Saum (fasting) after Ramadan is the month of Allah, al-Muharram."

Fasting Muḥarram is better than fasting the rest of the months just as night prayer is better than optional day prayer, due to the ḥadīth, “The best fasting after Ramaḍān is that of Muḥarram and the best prayer after the obligatory one is night prayer.”

➡ Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action". [Muslim]

➡ The Prophet ﷺ said: “For fasting the day of 'Ashura', I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.”

➡ Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allah's Pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years.”

Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito, known for playing Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, has embraced Islam in Saudi Arabia. Saudi General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh shared a video of the 68-year-old reciting the Shahada and praying at a mosque alongside his film crew. Esposito is in the Kingdom filming the action film 7 Dogs.

Al-Sheikh said the actor's experience with Muslims during the production led to his decision.
