PROGRESS IN PICTURES

The past two weeks have been dedicated to nourishing our crops across all five plots. We are utilizing a strategic combination of traditional fertilizer and Tokyo8 biofertilizer.

Since Tokyo8 is a liquid biofertilizer applied via the foliar method, our team has been hard at work with sprayers to ensure direct nutrient absorption. We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our farmers and project managers.

A special shoutout to our Field Operations Officer, Mr. Chilima, and Marketing Officer, Mr. Mtika, who have been on-site ensuring every application follows the ZENGA farming formula to perfection.

To receive our services, farmers are required to form groups of 5.

It's all about teamwork and collective effort: ZENGA, advisors, and cooperatives. All working towards a shared goal: to end hunger.

Our marketing campaign in Nsalu, Lilongwe, has successfully taken place, and it was a major milestone in our mission to eradicate hunger in Malawi. 🥳

The items shown in the photos illustrate our twin-approach strategy to combat hunger:

1. Short-Term Strategy: Hunger Relief Package
Beneficiaries received:
- Corn flour (Malawi’s staple)
- Soya pieces
- Dry fish (bonya)
- Salt
- Cash relief

2. Long-Term Strategy: Farm Inputs
Farmers were provided with:
- Maize seed
- Manure
- Artificial fertilizer
- Bio-fertilizer (Tokyo8)
And a commitment to supply pesticides when needed
