PHONICS, READING AND WRITING

KS 1 - PHONICS & READING
• Dhivehi – Akuru adhi fili egun, fili jahaigen 2 bahuge bas kiyaalevun
• Maths – Basic numeracy skills.
• English – Letter Recognition, explore and experiment with children’s discrimination of letter sounds and words.
• Encouraging fine motor skill, Montessori methods, Hand on & hand eye coordination, which opens new door to exploration, learning and fosters creative imagination.
• Small classroom sizes with 8 kids per timing.



KS 2 - PHONICS & READING
• Maths – Basic numeracy skills.
• Dhivehi – Dhivehi hurihaa fili thakeh kiyaalevun, Reading progress will be monitored regularly.
• English - Move on to oral blending and segmenting letters to read and spell.
• Learn to read and spell words containing adjacent consonants and vowel letters and can apply this skill when reading unfamiliar words.
• Can Read and write VC, CVC words.
• Small classroom sizes with 8 kids per timing.

PRE PRIMARY - READING AND WRITING
• Maths – Numeracy skills and practice for grade 1’s content.
• Dhivehi - Dhivehi hurihaa fili thakeh kiyaalevun, dheyha, jumla amilla liyelun.
• Learn to read and write in both Dhivehi and English.
• English – Encourage them to broaden their knowledge of sounds of digraph, blends, frequent sight words, doubling and dropping letters.
• They will be able to spell longer and tricky words.
• Students will be taught to attend short reading comprehensions, basic grammar, reading and writing in the most fun and likable way.
• Small classroom sizes with 8 kids per timing.

PRIMARY GRADE CLASSES
Grade 1 - 5

• Enhance for all grades level syllabuses.
• Students will be taught to attend to comprehensions, grammar and solve basic mathematics.
• Students will be given one-on-one attention and guide them to achieve their maximum throughout the year.
• Prepare for tests.
• support students who specially needs an extra effort in Dhivehi, through reading and writing.
• Students will be taught to attend to reading comprehensions and creative writings.
• Small classroom sizes with 8 kids per timing.
