It's the year of the water Tiger!

The 🐅 is very important in Chinese culture: embodying courage and bravery, it is the king of wild animals and the guardian of mountains. The animal was historically present on a large part of the Chinese territory and often appears in the various Chinese religions alongside other deities. It is the mount of Zhang Tianshi, a Taoist deity, and as such is said to repel evil. For this reason, tiger representations are placed in China to protect homes from evil spirits and little boys wear slippers decorated with tiger heads.
