SHAPE-SEA, ASEAN University Network-Human Rights Education Theme (AUN-HRE), and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) at University of Oslo invite you to join this year's Essay Writing Competition for Undergraduate Students on Critical Human Rights and Peace Issues in ASEAN/Southeast Asia. Our theme is "ASEAN's Golden Chance to Save the "Golden Land:" Seeking Regional Solutions for the Protection of Human Rights and Restoration of Democracy in Myanmar!"

This essay competition aims to provide Southeast Asian undergraduate students a platform to analyse the current situation in Myanmar, and to share sound recommendations for ASEAN and its member-states in pursuit of the restoration of democracy and to support the people to fully claim their basic rights and freedoms.
