The first zero-emission hydrogen-powered train in the US has arrived in San Bernardino.
Metrolink has introduced North America's first zero-emission passenger train, the Zero-Emission Multiple Unit (ZEMU), in San Bernardino County. The train uses hybrid hydrogen and battery technology, emitting only water v***r. With a capacity to travel 46 hours without charging, ZEMU will run on the Arrow line between San Bernardino and Redlands. After final testing, it is expected to enter service later this year, offering a cleaner, quieter transit option and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
