Vesna Nedelkovska, project manager of the EUKI project from the Gauss Institute participated in the kick-off meeting of the YOUNG ENERGY 3.0 project in Europe House Skopje. The project is financed by EUKI - European Climate Initiative and the Macedonian partner is the Representative Office of the German Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia AHK Nordmazedonien.
After the speeches of the director of AHK Macedonia, Antje Wandelt, and the deputy ambassador of Germany, Jan Foss, Vesna Nedelkovska gave a short presentation to the audience. In the presentation, she presented the Renewable Power to Heat in the Bitola Region project and focused on the significance of the projects financed by EUKI. Of course, at the end, he wished them a successful start and realization of the YOUNG ENERGY 3.0 project in Macedonia.

По говорите на директорката на АХК Македонија, Антје Ванделт и заменик амбасадорот на Германија, Јан Фос, кратка презентација пред присутните имаше Весна Неделковска. Во презентацијата таа го презентираше проектот Обновливи извори на енергија за топлина во Битолскиот регион и се фокусираше на значењето на проектите финансирани од ЕУКИ. Секако, на крајот им посака успешен почеток и реализација на проектот YOUNG ENERGY 3.0 во Македонија.

🎤 Transforming Coal Regions in North Macedonia, Interview with Igor Nedelkovski

In this interview, Igor discusses the urgent need to address greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, and local environmental pollution, particularly in the Bitola region of North Macedonia.

🌍 He emphasises the importance of urgent action, highlighting the well-known facts about global warming. He underscores that both globally and locally, especially in coal regions like Bitola, transitioning from coal to green energy is crucial. Bitola, one of Europe's coal regions, must abandon coal and transform into a green region to create new opportunities.

💡 Igor is part of the EUKI project "Renewable Power-to-Heat in the Bitola Region", which aims to develop a feasibility study for renewable energy alternatives, to be presented to decision-makers. This study is crucial as North Macedonia faces significant environmental challenges, including air and natural pollution.
