The San Blas Islands in Panama were truly a treat. I never thought I would love to be in the middle of nowhere with the most beautiful water and amazing wildlife. Where the only people around are the native local people and the way you buy your food is from a veggie boat that comes some time some day and you hope to be home when they come. This place and trip will always have a special place in my heart.

The Lost City hike. 60 km in 4 days. We went into it thinking the boys could get some assistance with a mule but the guide thought walking was the best way. They are one of the youngest kids to complete this trek walking the entire way, and sometimes running too. I'm so proud of them. Hiking is more than just enjoying nature it was a huge learning experience for them to learn patience, team work, gratitude, determination, endurance, appreciation, delayed gratification, mind set, and we got to learn all about a new culture. I would highly recommend this hike. It is one of the most challenging with steep climbs and huge descents but the views are worth it.
