CBS UM6P

On Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September , the Mohammed VI Polytechnic university (UM6P) welcomed a delegation from the CNRS to its Benguerir campus.

The delegation was made up of Ms Sandrine Sagan ( Deputy Scientific Director at CNRS Institute of Chemistry), Mr Jacques Maddaluno ( Director of the CNRS chemistry institute) and Mr Hassan Oulyadi, a professor from the University of Rouen.

During the visit, the delegation discovered the UM6P ecosystem and discussed areas of common interest with CBS department.

On the second day, the delegation continued its discussions with the CBS researchers , notably on the UM6P/CNRS collaboration project presented by Dr Rachid BENHIDA.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our 4-day intensive training on the state-of-the-art Raman/AFM Witec Alpha 300 RA+ equipment. This instrument uniquely combines TrueSurface Raman imaging with AFM imaging, opening new avenues for advanced analysis.
The training, held in the CBS labs, delved deep into both the theoretical and practical aspects of the instrument, enhancing our understanding and capabilities.
A huge thank you to Dr. Matthias Finger from WITEC for his exceptional dedication and expertise in delivering this invaluable training. Special recognition to Ayoub MARZAQ and Benmansour Mohammed Rida, who have now mastered the use of the Raman/AFM Witec Alpha 300 RA+ and are fully equipped to conduct analyses and operate the instrument.

In March 2024, the CBS/UM6P Jorf Lasfar Entity, in collaboration with the OCP Jorf Lasfar Security Service, organized two HSE training sessions. These sessions focused on best practices for using fire extinguishers and panoramic masks and were intended for all CBS/UM6P employees.
These events facilitated the dissemination of operational procedures for using fire extinguishers and panoramic masks through practical exercises and real gas generation simulations.
