A Proud Moment for Liberia. A Defining Moment for African Youth Climate Leadership.

Youth Go Green Network-Liberia (YUGNet-Liberia) proudly congratulates the newly announced Executive Team of the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC) for the 2026–2028 term.

Today, we celebrate more than an appointment—we celebrate a journey of purpose, resilience, and impact.

We are especially proud of our fellow Liberian, Mr. Ezekiel Nyanfor, whose passion for climate justice, unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, and courage to lead have elevated Liberia onto the continental and global climate stage. His achievement is a powerful reminder that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are shaping the future today.

This milestone represents years of dedication, advocacy, and service to communities vulnerable to climate change. It reflects the growing influence of Liberian youth in driving meaningful conversations and solutions across Africa and beyond.

As Yugnet Liberia , we are inspired by this achievement and excited about the opportunities ahead. We look forward to strengthening partnerships and advancing a shared vision where climate action, environmental governance, and climate justice are decentralized, inclusive, and accessible to every community across Liberia and the region.

His success is Liberia's success. His leadership is Africa's gain.

Congratulations to the entire AYICC Executive Team. We wish Mr. Nyanfor a transformative tenure filled with innovation, collaboration, and bold action for people and planet.

Today, Yugnet Liberia participated in the National Validation Workshop of Liberia’s Climate Change Learning Strategy organized by the Environmental Protection Agency - EPA in collaboration with UNITAR/UN held at the Cape Hotel in Monrovia.

Representing the institution at the engagement, Ms. Frances B. K. Tarpeh , our Head for Administration and Finance, emphasized the Institution's urgent need for climate inclusivity and increased mobilization of resources for grassroots institutions to advance sustainable development, innovation, and community resilience across Liberia.

The engagement brought together key stakeholders, environmental actors, and development partners to validate a nationally owned and results-oriented strategy aimed at strengthening climate education, awareness, and inclusive participation across Liberia.

She highlighted the importance of ensuring that climate learning reaches grassroots communities, young people, women, and vulnerable populations who are directly affected by climate change impacts.

Ms. Frances further called for stronger collaboration, increased investment in climate education, and sustained support for grassroots climate action initiatives that empower local communities to become active drivers of environmental sustainability and resilience.
