🌟 Meet WIAN President ⬇️
Mrs.Anita Baindu Koroma 🌟

☑️Professional Background:
Anita Baindu Koroma is a seasoned Aeronautical Information Management Systems (AIMS) expert with over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. She currently serves at the Robert Flight Information Region (RFIR) as both an AIMS professional and Quality Management Systems (QMS) Champion. In these roles, she ensures the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of aeronautical information services, managing and disseminating NOTAMs, SNOWTAMs, Trigger NOTAMs, flight plans, and related data via the Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS) and Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN).

☑️Career Journey:
Her journey began in operational roles as an Air Traffic Control Assistant and Senior ATC Assistant, providing a strong foundation in safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and emergency communications. Anita has further enhanced her expertise through specialized training in NOTAM management, AIS-to-AIM transformation, aerodrome control, and QMS Internal Audit. She holds a BA in Sociology & History from the University of Sierra Leone.

☑️Leadership & Advocacy:
Anita is the founding President and first member of the Women in Aviation Network – Liberia Chapter. This organization is dedicated to empowering women, promoting gender inclusion, and fostering professional growth within the region's aviation sector. Through this pioneering role, she advocates for innovation, collaboration, and mentorship, inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals.

☑️International Representation:
She has represented RFIR in various international forums, including FAA AIS/AIM workshops, AIMROG/Global AIM, and IFATCA conferences, positioning herself at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.

☑️Personal Traits & Interests:
Known for her precision, collaboration, and innovative spirit, Anita is passionate about aviation, data integrity, and continuous improvement. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, singing, and connecting with new people.
