The Ministry of Public Works has ordered the immediate suspension of a bridge construction project in Gbarnga, B**g County, funded by Musa Hassan Bility and initiated by Representative Marvin Cole, citing the absence of Ministry approval and technical designs.
Minister Roland Giddings stated that the project violated national infrastructure regulations, emphasizing that no further work should proceed until the Ministry reviews and approves the plans.
The Ministry reaffirmed its authority over all public infrastructure projects and pledged to provide technical support once proper procedures are followed.
Meanwhile, Both Representative Marvin Cole and CMC Secretary General Wilfred Bangura promised to work with the Public Works Ministry to have the matter resolved.

Representative Yekeh Kolubah’s $16,000 USD Bridge Collapses, Leaving Hundreds Stranded.
A bridge constructed by controversial Montserrado County Representative Yekeh Kolubah, just two months before the 2023 elections, has been damaged and collapsed, reportedly due to the use of substandard materials.
The collapse has left hundreds of residents, including women, schoolchildren, pregnant women, and entire communities, stranded in the Catholic Community of District 10, Montserrado County.
The Bridge worths 3.2 million Liberian dollars today.
