**Prior preparation yields the best and most comprehensive results.**

This appeal is directed to Hajj agents in general and to the National Muslim Council of Liberia in particular. It pertains to one of the pillars of Islam, Hajj, which Allah has made an individual obligation upon every Muslim who possesses the means to undertake it, including financial resources, health, and knowledge. This is based on the words of Allah Almighty: “And Hajj to the House is a duty that mankind owes to Allah for those who can afford it. But whoever disbelieves—then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.” Hajj was imposed on previous nations since the time of Abraham, peace be upon him, who was commanded by Allah to urge people to perform it. As Allah Almighty stated: “And proclaim to mankind the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every distant pass, that they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah over the livestock He has provided for them.”

In light of these noble verses, we understand that Hajj is not accepted unless it is performed with complete knowledge of its method, its pillars, obligations, Sunnahs, and recommended acts, based on the words of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: “There is no reward for an accepted Hajj except Paradise.” An accepted Hajj is not complete unless the pilgrim fulfills its pillars, duties, Sunnahs, and requirements. This can only be achieved if the agency owners and the Liberian National Muslim Council fulfill their roles by providing educational training to inform people and pilgrims about the pillars of Hajj, its duties, the Sunnahs of Hajj, the actions that invalidate Hajj, and the words and deeds that must be performed during Hajj.

This preparation will also not be effective unless it is carried out by specialists and qualified individuals in the field of Hajj, particularly those with experience in this area. For instance, if we look at neighboring countries like Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire, they began preparations, including scientific training and education for pilgrims about the pillars, duties, and Sunnahs of Hajj, about a month ago. In contrast, Liberia has not yet taken action, as we can observe. Therefore, we feel the urgent need to take initiative and fully prepare before it is too late.

Oh Allah, I have conveyed the message.

Note: I pledge to train pilgrims from now on, without any required fee, as I did last year. I seek only reform. Allah knows my intentions, and Allah is witness to what I say, and Allah is sufficient as a witness.
